Domus LF-A60 LED Filament Glass Globe

The Domus LF-A60 is an 8.6 W LED filament globe in the standard A60 household shape — 1,055 lumens, in clear or frosted glass, E27 or B22, and 2700 K or 6500 K. Dimmable.

The standard shape — and why that matters

A60 is the ordinary household globe shape: Ø60 mm × 102 mm. That makes it the drop-in filament option:

• ✅ It fits where a normal globe fits — inside shades, in close-fitting pendants, in table lamps, in ceiling oysters. The decorative G95 (Ø95 mm) and ST64 (Ø64 ×138 mm) will not.
• ✅ It is the one to use when the globe is partly hidden but you still want the filament look wherever it shows.

Clear or frosted — and here the choice is practical, not just visual

• Clear — the filaments are visible. Right in an open fitting or a clear pendant, where the globe is meant to be seen. ⚠ In a table lamp with a translucent shade, a clear filament globe can show as bright stripes through the fabric.
• Frosted — the glass diffuses. ✅ This is the better choice inside a shade or an enclosed fitting: even light, no hot spots, and no filament shadows on the shade. Same 1,055 lm either way.

⚠ 15,000 hours, and what that means at 1,055 lumens

All the filament globes here share a 15,000-hour life — normal for the type, since the filaments sit in a glass envelope with nowhere for heat to escape, and the shortest in this catalogue.

• At three hours a day, about thirteen years.
• In a café or hallway running twelve hours a day, about three.

⚠ This globe is the one most likely to be used as real lighting rather than decoration, which means it is also the one most likely to be run for long hours. If it is going somewhere that runs all evening every evening, budget for replacement — and put it somewhere reachable.

2700 K or 6500 K

• 2700 K warm white — what almost everyone wants, and the colour that makes a filament look right.
• ⚠ 6500 K — a cold daylight white, and an unusual pairing with a visible filament. It suits a workshop, garage or laundry; in a domestic pendant or lamp it will look wrong.
• ✅ Unusually, both give 1,055 lm — so there is no brightness penalty either way.

E27 or B22

E27 is the Edison screw common on modern fittings; B22 is the push-and-twist bayonet still found across older Australian homes. ⚠ Not interchangeable — check the fitting, not the old globe.

• Anywhere a normal globe goes — shades, lamps, oysters, close-fitting pendants.
• Open fittings and clear pendants, in clear glass.
• Inside shades, in frosted — even light and no filament shadows.
• ⚠ Choose 2700 K unless it is going in a workshop.
• ⚠ 15,000 hours — budget for replacement if it runs long hours.
