This Domus lamp is a 4.2 W frosted LED filament fancy round — G45 shape, E27 screw base, dimmable, in 2700 K or 6500 K.
| Clear | Frosted | |
|---|---|---|
| B22 bayonet | Exposed fittings, older Australian holders | Open shades, angled holders |
| E27 screw | Modern cage lights, bare-lamp rows | ⭐ Low pendants, mirror lights — this one |
LF-type filament runs 103–135 lm/W; the “retro vintage” LRF range runs 28–52 — ⭐ roughly a quarter the light per watt, ⛔ and nothing in the catalogue says so. ⚠ A retro lamp above a mirror would be a decorative gesture rather than a working light. ⭐ This one works.
⚠ 7 of 7 Domus filament listings titled “Dim” record no dimmable field. ⭐ It is dimmable; ⚠ trailing-edge, and ⭐ a row of three or four dims far more smoothly than one at 4.2 W each.
4.2 W frosted LED filament fancy round. G45 shape, 45 mm. E27 screw base. 2700 K or 6500 K. Dimmable. 240 V. ⭐ Frosted + E27 is the low-pendant and mirror-light combination — E27 is what most modern fittings use, and frosted is what a lamp at eye level needs. ⛔ No lumen figure, CRI, lifespan, warranty or datasheet; the LF-G45 sibling records 470 lm and 15,000 hrs as a guide. ⚠ There is no 4000 K in this family — ask us if you want neutral light at a mirror.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Two independent decisions. The base is fit: E27 screws, B22 has two pins and a quarter turn, and getting it wrong means the lamp goes back. The finish is glare: clear where you look AT the lamp, frosted where you look THROUGH it — and getting that wrong means living with a bright spot in your vision every evening. This one is frosted on E27, which suits low pendants over a bench or table, rows above a bathroom mirror, and wall brackets at head height. No listing in the family points at the other three, which is why the grid is on this page.
It is the best of the four for that. E27 is what most modern mirror lights use, frosted is what a lamp at face height needs, and a frosted sphere diffuses more evenly than a frosted candle — which matters above a mirror, where the lamp is seen from several angles at once. On output, the LF-G45 sibling records 470 lumens, and three or four of those is about right: enough to shave or make up by, not enough to glare off the glass.
Not recorded. This listing holds six fields — voltage, colour temperature, wattage, base, application and AC/DC — with no lumens, CRI, beam, lifespan, warranty or datasheet, as with 18 of the 19 Domus filament listings. The LF-G45 sibling records 470 lumens and 15,000 hours at the same 4.2W, about 112 lumens per watt or roughly a 40W incandescent. That is a sibling reading rather than this SKU's specification.
Not in this family — it is 2700K or 6500K, with nothing between. That is worth knowing above a bathroom mirror, where the case for cooler light is real but 6500K is a long way past neutral and will read clinical. If you want neutral light at a mirror, tell us and we will suggest a lamp that has 4000K. Whichever you choose, buy a fitting's worth in one: mixing colour temperatures across a row is instantly obvious.
No. Domus sells two filament families: this LF type runs 103 to 135 lumens per watt and the "retro vintage" LRF range runs 28 to 52 — roughly a quarter the light per watt, and nothing in the catalogue says so. A retro lamp above a mirror would be a decorative gesture rather than a working light. This one works: filament construction with real output.
Yes, though the claim lives only in the title — this listing records no dimmable field, as with all seven Domus filament listings titled "Dim". Use a trailing-edge dimmer. A row of three or four dims far more smoothly than one at 4.2W each, because most dimmers struggle with very small loads — which is convenient, since these are usually installed in rows.
Check the width first. A G45 is 45mm across, wider than a candle lamp, so in a close-spaced row above a mirror or along a bench the clearance is worth measuring before you order a set. The C35 candle version of the same lamp is narrower if space is tight, though it diffuses less evenly when frosted.
