This Domus lamp is a 4.2 W frosted LED filament fancy round — G45 shape, B22 bayonet, dimmable, in 2700 K or 6500 K.
LF-type filament runs 103–135 lm/W; the “retro vintage” LRF range runs 28–52 — ⭐ roughly a quarter the light per watt, ⛔ and nothing in the catalogue says so. ⚠ A frosted retro lamp would be the dimmest combination available: a decorative glow, further softened. ⭐ This is the modern kind.
⚠ 7 of 7 Domus filament listings titled “Dim” record no dimmable field. ⭐ It is dimmable; ⚠ trailing-edge, and ⭐ several lamps dim far more smoothly than one at 4.2 W each.
4.2 W frosted LED filament fancy round. G45 shape, 45 mm. B22 bayonet. 2700 K or 6500 K. Dimmable. 240 V. ⭐ A frosted sphere glows evenly from every angle — the most forgiving lamp in this family, and the safest choice when the fitting is mediocre or you cannot see how the lamp will sit. ⛔ No lumen figure, CRI, lifespan, warranty or datasheet; the LF-G45 sibling records 470 lm and 15,000 hrs as a guide. ⚠ A 45 mm sphere is wider than a candle lamp — check the clearance in a tight shade.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Even diffusion. A frosted C35 candle still has a bright tip and a dimmer base, where a frosted G45 glows evenly from every angle. That makes it the most forgiving lamp in the family and the one to choose when the fitting is mediocre or the position awkward — an open shade that shows the lamp, a fitting seen from below and from the side, a holder that sits at an angle. It is also the safest choice on a replacement order when you cannot see how the lamp will be seen.
Not recorded — six fields and no datasheet, as with 18 of the 19 Domus filament listings. The LF-G45 sibling records 470 lumens and 15,000 hours, about 112 lumens per watt, which is roughly a 40W incandescent. Frosting will take a few per cent off that, though no figure is published for either version. It is a sibling reading rather than this SKU's specification. Ask us for the real number if you are matching an existing lamp in a multi-arm fitting, where a brightness difference between arms is visible.
Shape rather than specification — same 4.2W, same family, same base options. A G45 is a 45mm sphere for exposed pendants, cage lights, bare-lamp rows and modern multi-lights; a C35 is a tapered candle for chandeliers, candelabra and traditional wall brackets. Two practical notes: a 45mm sphere is wider than a candle lamp, so check clearance in a tight shade; and the round shape gives about 6% less light on the siblings' figures, which is small enough not to decide anything.
No. Domus sells two filament families: this LF type runs 103 to 135 lumens per watt, and the "retro vintage" LRF range runs 28 to 52 — roughly a quarter the light per watt, and nothing in the catalogue says so. A frosted retro lamp would be the dimmest combination available: a decorative glow, further softened. This is the modern kind, with filament construction and real output. If you want the antique effect, ask us for the LRF range.
2700K for anything domestic — warm and slightly amber. 6500K is cold blue-white; frosting hides the mismatch better than clear glass does, because you are not looking at an amber element producing daylight light, but the light in the room is still cold. Whichever you choose, buy a fitting's worth in one: mixing colour temperatures across a multi-arm fitting is instantly obvious, more so than mixing brightness.
Yes, though the claim lives only in the title — this listing records no dimmable field, as with all seven Domus filament listings titled "Dim". Use a trailing-edge dimmer, and note that several lamps dim far more smoothly than one at 4.2W each, because most dimmers struggle with very small loads. Tell us the dimmer and the lamp count and we will say whether it will behave.
If the holder is B22 bayonet, yes — two pins and a quarter turn, where E27 screws. There is an E27 version of the frosted G45 if your fitting takes that instead. Also check the width: a G45 is 45mm across, wider than a candle lamp, so in a tight shade or a close-spaced multi-arm fitting measure the clearance before ordering a set.
