This Domus lamp is a 4.2 W frosted LED filament candle — C35 shape, E27 screw base, dimmable, in 2700 K or 6500 K.

⭐ Check the base before anything else — it is the one thing you cannot fix later

• This is the E27 screw version. ⭐ The same lamp is made in B22 bayonet.
• ⚠ They do not interchange, and ⭐ a wrong base is the commonest reason a lamp order goes back — every other choice here (clear or frosted, warm or cold) is a preference, but this one is fit.
• ⭐ How to tell them apart: E27 has a screw thread; B22 has two pins and pushes in with a quarter turn.
• ⭐ A C35 candle on E27 is the less common pairing — small candle lamps are more often B22 or E14 in Australia. ⭐ It usually turns up in imported fittings, and in larger chandeliers where the maker used a full-size holder in a candle shape.

⭐ Frosted — the version for anywhere the lamp is visible

• ⭐ The filament is diffused rather than bare. ⭐ A visible filament is a tiny, very bright source and glares in your eye line, however good it looks in a photograph.
• ⭐ So frosted belongs above a dining table, in a low pendant, in a wall bracket at head height, and in any fitting you look up into.
• ⭐ Clear where you look AT it; frosted where you look THROUGH it.
• ⚠ Frosting costs a few per cent of output. ⛔ Neither version publishes a lumen figure, so there is nothing to compare — ⭐ and in practice glare decides this, not the few per cent.
