✅ "Large" is a measurable step, and here is what it buys

• ✅ A real, recorded difference in both directions — ⭐ worth confirming, because size words elsewhere in this catalogue have proved unreliable (four pairs of Siena posts are named differently and record identical dimensions).
• ⭐ Here the word means something.
• ✅ And this listing records its projection where the standard version does not — 300 mm, which is what you need to know beside a doorway or in a passage.
• ⭐ Choose Large on a broad elevation, a double-fronted facade or a wall where a 260 mm fitting would look under-scaled.

⛔ It takes B22 where the standard version takes E27

• ⛔ One B22 bayonet lamp. ⚠ The standard GT-671 upward wall light records E27.
• ⚠ So within one range and one orientation, the two sizes take different lamps — and B22 and E27 do not interchange.
• ⭐ 22 of the 25 Vienna listings are B22, so this fitting follows the range and the GT-671 is the exception. ⚠ Whether that listing is genuinely different or simply recorded wrongly we cannot tell.
• ⭐ If you are mixing sizes on one elevation, tell us — we will confirm both with Domus before you buy globes.

⛔ IP23, and it faces upward

• ⭐ IP23 and IP43 carry the same water rating (both spray-rated) — this is not less waterproof than the Monaco or Siena ranges.
• ⛔ The difference is solid ingress: over 12.5 mm rather than over 1 mm, so insects, seed and fine debris can enter.
• ⚠ And an upward-facing lantern is an open cup — the orientation that collects exactly that. ⭐ A larger fitting collects more.
• ⭐ Expect to clean it, and ⚠ avoid positions under heavy leaf drop. ⭐ The GT-694 curved version faces up too; for a downward fitting, the GT-672.

⭐ Why an upward wall light

• ⭐ It throws light up the wall, lifting an elevation so a facade reads as lit rather than spotlit — ⭐ and at 310 mm wide it does that over a broader spread.
• ⭐ It bounces off a soffit or eave, giving soft indirect light with no bright source in the eye line.
• ⚠ It will not light the ground. For a doorstep or a path, the downward GT-672.
• ⭐ Many entrances use both — ⚠ remembering the two may take different globes.

• Broad elevations and double-fronted facades, where the standard size looks small.
• Under a soffit or eave, for bounced light.
• Traditional and period elevations.
• ⚠ Not under trees or heavy leaf drop — an upward IP23 fitting collects debris.
