The Domus GT-657 Monaco is a twin-head post light — 1,350 mm tall, 860 mm wide, IP43, taking two E27 lamps, in die-cast aluminium with moulded acrylic lenses. Five powder-coated colours.

⚠ It is 860 mm wide on a 1,350 mm post — measure before you order

• The width is nearly two-thirds of the height. ⭐ That is the most extreme proportion in the Monaco range, and it is the thing most likely to surprise you on delivery.
• ⚠ On a narrow verge or between a fence and a driveway, 860 mm is a lot. ⭐ Set it out on the ground before committing to a ten-day lead time.
• ⭐ Where there is room, the proportion is the appeal. Two lanterns low and wide flanking a path reads as a deliberate entrance feature rather than a light on a stick.
• ⭐ The single-head short post is 650 mm at most — 210 mm narrower and the tighter option where space is short.

✅ The height confirms how this range is measured

• 1,350 mm — ✅ the same as the single-head short post, and the 1.35 m the datasheet publishes.
• ⭐ Adding a second head does not change the post height, which tells you the recorded figure describes the post: the heads mount on top of a shared standard.
• ✅ And the Monaco size names are reliable — short, medium and tall each map to one height and each height to one word, checked in both directions.

⭐ Two lanterns at 1,350 mm light a width, not a point

• ⭐ Roughly double the light of a single-head post, and more usefully, spread across two points 860 mm apart.
• ⭐ Which is the reason to buy a twin at this height: two overlapping pools cover a path or a gateway width evenly, where one lantern gives a single bright centre and falls away.
• ⚠ The lanterns sit at about chest height — below eye level, so you look down onto them and the downward-directed acrylic lens does its work on the ground.
• ⚠ Running cost is two lamps. ⭐ Use modest ones — two 8 W lamps beat one 16 W for coverage.

⛔ Gaps, and a lamp-base warning

• ⛔ No depth recorded, where the twin medium and tall posts record 650 mm.
• ⛔ No maximum lamp wattage, footing depth, base plate or wind rating. ✅ 8–10 W E27 LED in each, warm at 2700–3000 K, enclosed and damp rated.
• ⚠ Check the lamp base. ✅ This is E27; ⛔ the Chester, Avignon and most Vienna ranges are B22 bayonet rather than E27. The two do not interchange, and on a twin you would be buying two of the wrong globe.
