The Domus GT-657 Monaco is a twin-head post light — 1,350 mm tall, 860 mm wide, IP43, taking two E27 lamps, in die-cast aluminium with moulded acrylic lenses. Five powder-coated colours.
Up to 10 business days for production before it ships. ⚠ Order a pair together if they flank an entrance.
Twin-head exterior post light. 1,350 mm high, 860 mm wide. IP43. 220–240 V AC. Two E27 lamps — not included. Die-cast aluminium body, moulded acrylic lenses. Beige, Black, Burgundy, Green or White. ⚠ Warranty 1 year. ⛔ Made to order — allow up to 10 business days. ⚠ 860 mm wide on a 1,350 mm post is the most extreme proportion in the range — set it out on the ground first. ✅ Its height matches the single-head short post, confirming the figure describes the shared post. ⛔ No depth, maximum lamp wattage, footing specification or wind rating recorded.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
860mm across, on a post only 1,350mm tall — the width is nearly two-thirds of the height, which is the most extreme proportion in the Monaco range and the thing most likely to surprise you on delivery. On a narrow verge or between a fence and a driveway that is a lot, so set it out on the ground before committing to a ten-day lead time. Where there is room the proportion is the appeal: two lanterns low and wide flanking a path reads as a deliberate entrance feature. If space is short, the single-head short post is 210mm narrower.
No, and that is informative. It records 1,350mm, exactly the same as the single-head short post and the 1.35m the datasheet publishes — so adding a second head does not change the post height. The recorded figure describes the post; the heads mount on top of a shared standard. The Monaco size names are reliable in both directions, so short, medium and tall each mean one thing on this range.
Coverage rather than brightness. Two lanterns give roughly double the light, but more usefully they spread it across two points 860mm apart — two overlapping pools cover a path or a gateway width evenly, where one lantern gives a single bright centre that falls away. At chest height the downward-directed acrylic lens does its work on the ground, which is exactly what you want across an entrance.
Two E27 lamps, not included, and it is worth confirming before you buy: other Domus lantern ranges are B22 bayonet — the Chester, Avignon and most of the Vienna range, and the two do not interchange — on a twin you would be buying two of the wrong globe. We would fit an 8–10W E27 LED in each, warm at 2700–3000K, enclosed and damp rated. Two modest lamps beat one bright one for coverage.
Not recorded on this listing, where the twin medium and tall posts both record 650mm. If the projection matters against a gate swing, a fence line or a boundary, ask us and we will measure one — worth settling before a made-to-order lead time starts.
Two lamps rather than one, on a fitting that typically runs dusk to dawn. That is the honest trade-off for the coverage, and it is why we suggest modest lamps: two 8W LEDs give better spread than one 16W and use the same power. Over a year the difference between 8W and 15W lamps in a pair is real but not large; the coverage difference is what you notice.
Not recorded — no depth, base plate size, fixing pattern or wind rating, the same gap across all these traditional Domus ranges. Two lanterns at 1,350mm is more mass than leverage, so the loading is gentler than on the tall posts, but it still goes into concrete. Tell us the site and the soil and we will get the detail from Domus.
