A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The Domus EMIT-85 RGBW is an 85 mm colour-changing inground light — 6 W, CREE LED, IP67, IK10, CRI ≥90, with nine fascias in four metalware finishes. Cutout Ø65 mm.
85 mm RGBW inground light. Cutout Ø65 mm without cannister, ⛔ Ø82 mm with. 6 W, 24 V DC. CREE LED. RGBW with a dedicated white emitter. CRI ≥90. Beam 19° / 36° / 60°, 36° standard. IP67, IK10. 50,000 hrs. Nine fascias; Black, Stainless Steel, Antique Brass or Brushed Brass. ⛔ Not dimmable at the fitting. ⛔ Requires an RGBW colour controller — CHAM-BT-RF-5C (20141) — and a 24 V constant-voltage driver, neither included. ⭐ Warranty 5 years per the datasheet, in no product field.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Yes, on this version. The EMIT-85 exists in two forms: a wall-wash version with only Round Open and Square Open, and this 36° decklight with all nine fascias. So the fascia choice matters here as much as on the smaller EMITs — where the tri-colour EMIT-55's datasheet shows a 54-fold difference between open and multiway fascias, and the EMIT-25 shows 38-fold. No lumen table is published for any RGBW EMIT, so the exact figures for this fitting are not available, but the principle holds: open fascias light a surface, multiway and Halo fascias are markers.
An RGBW colour controller and a 24V constant-voltage driver, neither included. The datasheet names the controller — CHAM-BT-RF-5C, SKU 20141 — which is also the receiver the CHAM-REM-5C handheld remote pairs with. The chain is 24V driver, then the CHAM-BT-RF-5C, then these fittings, with the remote in your hand. At 6W each these are the heaviest EMIT load, so ten fittings is 60W and the driver needs sizing accordingly.
Ø65mm without the cannister and Ø82mm with it — and on the EMIT-85 that decision matters far more than on its siblings. The EMIT-25 and EMIT-55 both add just 5mm for a cannister; this adds 17mm, more than triple. A Ø65mm core in concrete cannot be opened to Ø82mm without significant work, so decide at design stage rather than on site. Neither figure is in a product field.
It is the brightest, at 6W against the EMIT-55's 2.5W and the EMIT-25's 1W. That is what lets a colour-changing fitting also serve as real light rather than decoration only — you can run it on plain white most of the year and have it genuinely light something. The RGBW white is a dedicated emitter rather than a mix of red, green and blue, which is why the white looks like a proper white.
Specify 24V. The RGBW datasheet says 24V DC; our product record says 12–24V, which is the range for the tri-colour version of the same body. If you have an existing 12V garden system, ask us before ordering — it is a system decision and getting it wrong costs the fittings.
Five years, per the datasheet — and it is in no product field, which is why we are stating it here. That is the term across the whole EMIT range and it matches the Domus driver family. Ask us to confirm it with your order since it is on the sheet rather than recorded on the listing.
Yes. Three angles are available — 19°, 36° and 60°, with 36° supplied as standard — and the other two are accessory lenses, so they swap in place without lifting the fitting out of the ground. On an inground light in a finished surface that is worth a great deal, because you rarely know the right angle until the planting has grown or the paving is down.
