Domus EMIT 85mm 6W RGBW 36° LED 12/24V Decklight

The Domus EMIT-85 RGBW is an 85 mm colour-changing inground light — 6 W, CREE LED, IP67, IK10, CRI ≥90, with nine fascias in four metalware finishes. Cutout Ø65 mm.

⭐ The largest EMIT, and it does have all nine fascias

• ⚠ Worth stating plainly, because the EMIT-85 exists in two forms. The wall-wash version offers only Round Open and Square Open. This 36° decklight offers all nine — Round Open, Square Open, Eyelid, 1/2/3/4 Way, Halo and Ring.
• ⛔ Which means the fascia choice matters here as much as it does on the smaller EMITs. On the tri-colour EMIT-55 the datasheet's table shows a 54-fold difference between the open and multiway fascias; on the EMIT-25 it is 38-fold.
• ⛔ No lumen table is published for any RGBW EMIT, so the exact figures for this fitting are not available. ⭐ But the principle holds: open fascias light a surface, multiway, Halo and Ring fascias are markers.
• ⭐ Decide what the fitting is for before you pick the fascia. Ask us if you need a figure.

⛔ It needs a controller and a driver, and the datasheet names the controller

• RGBW has no control of its own. It requires an RGBW colour controller and a 24 V constant-voltage driver, wired in parallel. Neither is included.
• ⭐ The datasheet names it: CHAM-BT-RF-5C, SKU 20141, stocked here — and that is the receiver the CHAM-REM-5C handheld remote pairs with.
• ⭐ Chain: 24 V driver → CHAM-BT-RF-5C receiver → these fittings, with the remote in your hand.
• ⚠ At 6 W each these are the heaviest EMIT load — ten fittings is 60 W, so size the driver accordingly. Tell us the layout and we will quote the chain.

⛔ The cutout, and the cannister penalty

• Ø65 mm without the cannister. ⛔ Ø82 mm with it.
• ⛔ That +17 mm is more than triple the penalty on the EMIT-25 and EMIT-55, which both add just 5 mm. A Ø65 mm core in concrete cannot be opened to Ø82 mm without significant work.
• ⚠ Decide at design stage, not on site. ⛔ Neither figure is in a product field, and the cannister is a separate purchase.

⭐ RGBW rather than RGB, and what 6 W buys

• ⭐ RGBW adds a dedicated white emitter, so the fitting works as an ordinary light as well as a colour one. Mixing white from red, green and blue gives a thin off-white; a dedicated white LED gives a proper one.
• ⭐ At 6 W this is the brightest EMIT — more than twice the EMIT-55's 2.5 W and six times the EMIT-25's 1 W. Which is what lets a colour-changing fitting also serve as real light rather than as decoration only.
• ⚠ The white's colour temperature is not stated in any source. If it must match adjacent tri-colour EMIT fittings, ask us to confirm.

Specifying it

• IP67, IK10 — ⭐ the top impact rating, for surfaces people walk and drive over.
• CRI ≥90, 50,000 hrs, ⛔ not dimmable at the fitting — level and colour come from the controller.
• Beam 19° / 36° / 60°, 36° standard; ⭐ the others are accessory lenses, swappable in place.
• ⚠ Voltage: the RGBW sheet says 24 V DC; our record says 12–24 V. Specify 24 V.
• ⭐ Four verified datasheets, one per metalware finish.
• ⭐ Warranty 5 years per the datasheet — ⛔ in no product field.

• Feature paving, pool surrounds and entertaining areas where colour is occasional and white is the everyday setting.
• Uplighting walls and trees — with an open fascia, at 6 W.
• Trafficked surfaces — IK10.
• ⛔ Not without a controller and a 24 V driver.
• ⚠ Not cut to Ø65 mm if a cannister may be wanted — here that costs 17 mm.
