Accessories for the Domus EMIT-55 inground light: diffuser, linear lens, 19° / 36° / 60° lenses, cannister and honeycomb louvre. Sold individually. ⛔ The datasheet attached to this listing is the EMIT-55 FITTING's, not the accessories' — its wattage, lumen table and ratings describe a different product. ⭐ The cannister changes the fitting's cutout from Ø43 mm to Ø48 mm, so it is a decision to make before the hole is cut. ⭐ The lenses change the beam angle in place. ⭐ Warranty: the datasheet gives 5 years and no product field carries it — ask us to confirm with your order.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Because it is the EMIT-55 luminaire's datasheet rather than the accessories' — it carries that fitting's 2.5W rating, its IP67 and IK10 ratings and its nine-fascia lumen table, none of which describes a lens or a cannister. Our checking process flagged it as the wrong sheet for this SKU. We have used it only for what it legitimately tells us: the EMIT-55's cutout figures and beam angles, which is what these accessories act on.
The cutout. The EMIT-55 takes Ø43mm without a cannister and Ø48mm with one, because the sleeve surrounds the fitting. That makes it a decision to take before you cut — a Ø43mm hole cannot later accept a cannister without being opened out, and in paving that is real work. What you get for it is a sealed sleeve that keeps soil and water off the body and makes the fitting removable later without digging.
It stretches the circular beam into an ellipse, which is what you want on a wall, a hedge or any long low subject. A round beam on a linear surface wastes light at both ends and leaves scallops between fittings; a linear lens spreads it along the surface instead. It is the accessory most worth knowing about on this listing, and it is not offered for the EMIT-25.
19°, 36° (the standard, supplied with the fitting) and 60°, plus the linear lens. Note there is no 24° option here, where the EMIT-25 accessories have one — so the angle steps are coarser on the larger fitting. All of them swap in place without lifting the fitting out of the ground, which is the useful part: you rarely know the right angle until the planting has grown.
They solve glare in opposite ways. The diffuser softens the source into a glow, which suits a fitting seen directly at close range. The honeycomb blocks the view of the source at an angle without spreading the beam, so the light still lands where you aimed it and you simply do not see the emitter walking past. On a 55mm fitting with a 135lm open fascia the honeycomb is often the better answer — there is enough output that hiding the source costs you nothing you will notice.
Not quantified in any source, and we would rather say so than estimate. Both reduce output — that is inherent — but by how much is not published for either. If you are working to a lux level, ask us and we will get the figures from Domus before you commit to a quantity.
No. Each size has its own accessories with its own cannister and lens diameters, and the cutouts differ — Ø19mm, Ø43mm and Ø65mm. Worth knowing if you are using more than one size on a job: the cannister costs 5mm on the cutout for the EMIT-25 and EMIT-55, and 17mm on the EMIT-85. Tell us which fittings you have and we will match the parts.
