A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The Domus EMIT-25 is a 1 W miniature inground light with a Ø19 mm cutout, IP67 and IK10, running on 12 or 24 V DC, in nine fascias and four metal finishes.
⛔ The fascia you choose changes the light output by up to thirty-five times. Nothing on this page said so.
| Fascia | Output at 4000 K | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Round / Square Open | 51 lm | Full output, open aperture |
| Eyelid | 51 lm | Full output, shielded from one side |
| Ring | 17 lm | A lit circle |
| Halo | 14 lm | A soft glowing ring |
| 4 Way | 3.1 lm | Four slots of light |
| 3 Way | 2.2 lm | Three slots |
| 1 Way | 1.3 lm | A single slot |
| 2 Way | 1.2 lm | Two slots — the dimmest |
This is not a defect — it is what the fascias are for. An open fascia is a light; a multi-way fascia is a marker, throwing thin blades of light across paving. But choosing “2 Way” expecting a light and getting 1.2 lumens is a genuinely disappointing afternoon, and no other source will warn you.
Tell us the effect you want and we will pick the fascia.
Our record lists this product's application as “Indoor”. It is an IP67 inground light.
12 V or 24 V DC, wired in parallel, with a constant-voltage LED driver — not included. A water-stop cable joint is part of the system.
1 W miniature LED inground light, 25 mm face, Ø19 mm cutout (Ø24 mm with canister), 45 mm deep. 12 V or 24 V DC — constant-voltage driver required, wired in parallel, not included. CREE LEDs, CRI ≥90, IP67, IK10 — walkable, 50,000 hrs, not dimmable. Beam 36° standard (19° lens and opal diffuser optional). Colour temperature 3000 K / 4000 K / 5500 K, changeable — ⚠ our record lists only two. Nine fascias, and output ranges from 55 lm (open) to 1.2 lm (2 Way) — ask us before choosing. Four finishes: black, stainless steel, antique brass, brushed brass. Warranty 3 years. ⚠ Our record marks this fitting “Indoor”; it is an IP67 inground light.

Dramatically — by up to thirty-five times, and it is the single most important thing on this page. Round and square open fascias and the eyelid give the full 46–55 lumens. The Ring gives 17 and the Halo 14. The multi-way fascias give between 1.2 and 3.1 lumens, because they are markers throwing thin blades of light rather than lights. That is what they are for, but choosing "2 Way" expecting a light is a disappointing afternoon. Tell us the effect you want and we will pick the fascia.
Walk on it, yes — IK10 is the highest impact rating in common use and it is designed to sit in paving and decking. For driveways and anywhere a vehicle crosses, ask us before specifying: driveway loading is a different question from foot traffic and it depends on the substrate as much as the fitting.
Yes, and the product record is wrong about this — it lists the application as "Indoor" while the fitting is IP67 and IK10. IP67 covers temporary immersion, which is exactly what an inground light needs when a paved area drains across it or a garden bed floods. It belongs in paving, decking, gravel and garden beds.
Ø19 mm without the canister and Ø24 mm with it, and the visible face is 25 mm across, 45 mm deep. That is small enough to go into a deck board, a paving joint or a stair nosing without the fitting becoming the feature — most inground lights are 60–100 mm and look like manholes next to it. Decide about the canister before the deck goes down; retrofitting one means lifting a board.
A great many, because each one draws only 1 W — that is what makes a long run of markers practical. It needs a 12 or 24 V DC constant-voltage driver, wired in parallel, and it is not included. Tell us the count and the run length and we will size the driver and set the feed points.
Three — 3000 K, 4000 K and 5500 K, changeable. Our record lists only two and omits the 5500 K. For decking, paving and stone, 3000 K is almost always right; 4000 K suits planting, where it keeps foliage reading green.
Because of the angle. An inground light grazes stone, timber or render from very close, and at that shallow angle a poor spectrum shows up as a flat grey wash rather than the material's real colour. CRI ≥90 with CREE chips is a genuine step above the ≥80 most of this catalogue uses, and it is doing visible work here.
