The Domus DUSK-STICK is a 4 W 12 V DC garden spike path light — 533 mm tall excluding the spike, IP54, CRI ≥90, with a 120° beam and a replaceable tri-colour lamp. Black or bronze.

  • IP54 is dust-protected and rated against splashing water. IP65 is dust-tight and rated against water jets.
  • ⚠ That is a real step down, and no listing in the range compares them. For a bed watered by drippers or rain, IP54 is fine. For a garden watered by sprinklers or hosed down, the DUSK-PATH at IP65 is the safer specification.
  • ⚠ It also matters where the spike sits low in mulch, which holds moisture against the body far longer than open soil does.
⭐ A 120° beam, where the PATH range is 90°
  • ⭐ The STICK spreads wider. 120° against 90° is a noticeably broader pool from the same 4 W lamp — so it lights more ground, less intensely.

Are the two finishes the same fitting in two colours?

No — they are two different materials, and no field records it. The black is die-cast aluminium and the bronze is solid brass. In a coastal or exposed garden the bronze is the one to buy: solid brass handles salt air far better than cast aluminium, which eventually suffers coating breakdown and lifts its powder coat. Inland and sheltered, the black aluminium is a sensible saving and disappears into planting better.

How does it compare with the DUSK-PATH range?

Three differences that matter. This is IP54 where the PATH range is IP65 — splashing water against water jets, so for a garden on sprinklers the PATH is safer. This has a 120° beam where the PATH has 90°, so it spreads wider and less intensely. And this has no hood, so more light goes towards the eye — on a walking path the hooded PATH is more comfortable. Where the STICK wins is spread across a planted bed, and height: 533mm clears low planting.

What lamp does it take, and can I replace it?

A Bi-Pin G5.3 4W 12V DC tri-colour lamp, and yes — it is replaceable, which is unusual and valuable. Most modern LED garden spikes are sealed units, so the whole fitting is scrap when the LED fails. Why is CRI ≥90 worth having outdoors?

Because foliage is what you are lighting. A low-CRI source turns greens grey and makes bark, stone and mulch look flat; at CRI ≥90 the planting keeps its colour and the textures read. On a garden light sitting among shrubs that is the whole difference between planting that looks alive at night and planting that looks like a photograph of itself.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
