Domus CHAM REM 5C/ Rf + Bluetooth Rgb+tw Rc

The Domus CHAM-REM-5C is an RF and Bluetooth remote control for RGB+TW LED installations — dimming, colour, colour-change speed and saved scenes.

⛔ On its own it controls nothing

Its datasheet is explicit: it “is to be used with the CHAM-BT-RF-5C receiver”.

• ⛔ This is a handset, not a controller. Without the matching receiver in the installation there is nothing for it to pair with and nothing it can do.
• ⛔ That requirement appears in no product field — only in the datasheet prose. Buy the receiver with it unless you already have one in place.
• ✅ If you do already have a CHAM-BT-RF-5C installed, this is exactly the right part — a replacement or an additional handset for a second room.
• ⭐ Tell us what is already installed and we will confirm the pairing before you order.

⛔ And it needs batteries

• 2 × AAA, giving 3 V. ⚠ No source says whether they are included, so assume not and put a pair in the van.
• ⭐ This is the second control accessory in two batches with an unstated battery requirement — the BLAZE-PRO PE Cell sensor needs a CR2025 for its remote, also not included. A pattern worth knowing before a commissioning visit.

⭐ What it can do

• Dim the LED strip.
• Change the colour, across RGB and tuneable white.
• Speed up or slow the colour-change mode — ⭐ which is the control people actually want and rarely get. A colour cycle running too fast reads as a nightclub; slowed right down it becomes ambient and almost unnoticeable.
• Save scenes you use regularly, so a setting you liked can be recalled rather than dialled in again.
• RF and Bluetooth — ⭐ RF does not need line of sight, so the receiver can sit above a ceiling or inside joinery and still respond.

⭐ A small physical detail worth knowing

It has a magnet on the back and a mounting bracket. ✅ So it can live on a wall like a light switch rather than disappearing into a sofa — which on a colour-changing installation is the difference between a system people use and one they stop using.

⛔ What is not recorded

• Operating temperature 0–40 °C is on the sheet. ⚠ Note the lower limit is 0 °C, which is higher than most components here — not one to leave in an unheated garage in a cold climate.
• ⛔ No range figure for either the RF or the Bluetooth link, which on a remote is the question people ask first. Ask us.
• ⛔ No dimensions, no IP rating and no voltage recorded — the 3 V is in the sheet’s driver field rather than a voltage field.
• ⛔ No statement of how many receivers one handset can address, or whether several handsets can share one receiver.
