The Domus C35 is a 4.2 W clear filament LED candle lamp with an E27 base — dimmable, glass, 240 V.
| What is missing | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| ⛔ Lumen output | How bright it actually is — the first question about any lamp |
| ⛔ Colour temperature | Warm or neutral; on a decorative filament, usually the deciding factor |
| ⛔ CRI | Whether it flatters the room it lights |
| ⛔ Rated life | How often you are back up the ladder |
C35 clear filament LED candle lamp. 4.2 W. ⭐ E27 base — the large screw base, not the E14 most candle lamps use. Dimmable. Glass. 240 V AC. ⛔ Lumen output, colour temperature, CRI and rated life are not recorded and there is no datasheet — ask us and we will get them from Domus, particularly the colour temperature if you are buying a set. ⛔ Warranty not recorded.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Only if the holders are E27 — the large screw base. This is the thing most likely to catch you out, because a C35 candle lamp is far more commonly made with the small E14 base, and the two do not interchange. Look at the lamp that is in there now: if it screws into something about the diameter of a ten-cent coin it is E14 and this will not fit. E27 is noticeably bigger, about 27mm across the thread.
Not recorded, and there is no datasheet for this lamp, so the figure is in no source we hold — which on a globe is a real gap, because brightness is the first question. What we can tell you is the class: a 4.2W filament LED candle typically replaces a 40W incandescent candle and sits somewhere around 400–470 lumens. That is a comparison with the type of lamp rather than a figure from Domus, which is why we have not put it in the specification table. Ask us and we will get the real number.
Not recorded either, and it is worth settling before you buy — especially for a set. Filament LEDs are usually made warm, around 2200–2700K, because the warm glow is the effect people are buying. But mismatched colour temperatures in one visible fitting are very obvious, so if you are lamping a chandelier ask us to confirm it with Domus first rather than discovering it after installation.
It is a dimmable lamp, but dimmable is not the same as compatible with your particular dimmer. At 4.2W this is a very small load, and one or two of them on an older trailing-edge dimmer may flicker, buzz or refuse to start — that is a load problem rather than a fault in the lamp. Tell us which dimmer you have and how many lamps are on the circuit and we will say whether the combination works.
Clear if you can see the lamp — in an open holder, a cage pendant, a lantern, a cluster at eye level. The filament is the decoration and that is what you are paying for. Frosted if comfort matters more: clear glass shows a bright point, throws sharper shadows and can glare when it sits low. And in an opaque shade, buy the cheapest lamp that fits, because nobody will ever see this one.
Not recorded, and with no datasheet we cannot tell you. Filament LEDs as a class typically run 15,000 to 25,000 hours, but that varies a great deal by maker and we would rather not put a number on this one that we have not been given. Ask us and we will get it from Domus.
Not unless the fitting is rated for it — this is a plain glass lamp with no ingress rating of its own, so the protection comes entirely from the luminaire it sits in. In a sealed IP-rated outdoor lantern it would be fine electrically, but the clear filament look tends to belong indoors anyway. Tell us the fitting and we will confirm.
