Domus BOLT-SLIM-60 Diffused TRIO IP20 LED Batten

The Domus BOLT-SLIM-60 is a 600 mm slim LED batten with four selectable wattages — 10 / 13 / 16 / 20 W — and tri-colour switching, in pressed sheet metal with a white powder coat and a high-transparency opal polycarbonate diffuser.

⭐ Four wattages — and here 20 W is the top of the range, not the bottom

• ⚠ Both BOLT-SLIM listings record “20 W” and it means opposite things. On the 1,200 mm model 20 W is the lowest of four settings; here it is the highest. Do not compare the two on the recorded figure — compare them on length and on the tables.
• ⭐ Four steps on a 600 mm batten is genuinely useful, because short battens usually go in small rooms where getting the level wrong is most obvious.
• ⚠ The switch is on the LED driver, set at installation with the fitting open.
• ⚠ The datasheet prose describes “20 W (600 mm) and 40 W (1200 mm)” — range text covering both models, not this fitting’s four steps.

⛔ Two sources say IP20 and the datasheet says IP44

• Title: IP20. Record: IP20. Datasheet: IP44.
• ✅ We publish IP20 — two sources against one, and the conservative direction. A fitting sold as IP20 that is actually IP44 disappoints nobody; the reverse puts a batten somewhere it is not rated for.
• ⭐ Across the catalogue, 18 products have a recorded IP that disagrees with their own datasheet, and in all nine cases where the title carries an IP, it backs the record.
• ⚠ Treat it as an indoor, dry-area batten, and ask us if you need it in a covered outdoor or damp position.

⛔ It does not take a T8 tube

Our record lists a bulb type of T8. ⚠ It is an integrated LED batten with no replaceable lamp. ✅ What is true is that it replaces T8 and T5 fluorescent battens, with a quick-fix mounting designed for that retrofit — but nothing goes into it, and at end of life the fitting is replaced rather than re-lamped.

⭐ Retrofitting a 2 ft fluorescent

• ✅ A 2 ft fluorescent tube gave roughly 1,200–1,800 lm when new, and considerably less by the time it was replaced. ⭐ Every setting on this batten from 13 W up exceeds that, so even the middle settings are an upgrade.
• ⚠ Which is exactly why the four steps matter. Fitting the 20 W setting in a small room that previously had one tired fluorescent will feel bright. Start at 13 or 16 W.
• ⚠ Check the existing fixing centres before ordering a quantity.

Where it works

• Small offices, storerooms, cupboards and utility rooms, replacing 2 ft fluorescent.
• Under-shelf and over-bench in a workshop, where CRI ≥80 helps.
• Laundries and garages — ⚠ dry areas, treating it as IP20.
• ⚠ Not where dimming is required, ⚠ not where emergency backup is needed.
