The Domus BLAZE-PRO Marine is a salt-water-resistant LED box floodlight, 100 / 150 / 200 W switchable, IP66, tri-colour, finished with oxidation treatment plus a C5 marine-grade outdoor powder coating.
This is the 100 / 150 / 200 W Marine. Its attached sheet states 20 / 30 / 50 W.
It records application: Indoor on a salt-water-resistant floodlight whose entire reason for existing is a coastal outdoor position.
Marine-grade LED box floodlight, salt-water resistant. 100 / 150 / 200 W switchable, tri-colour 3000 / 4000 / 5500 K. Housing: oxidation treatment plus C5 marine-grade outdoor powder coating, stainless steel and aluminium. IP66. 120° beam. CRI ≥70. 110 lm/W. 240 V AC, driver on board. 4.5 kV surge protection. Frosted glass with an anti-condensation breathing valve. ⛔ Not dimmable. ⚠ Lifespan 20,000 hrs. Available in Black and White. ⛔ The datasheet attached to this listing states 20/30/50 W and belongs to the smaller Marine fitting, so no lumen figure is published here — ask us for the verified table. ⚠ Warranty not recorded.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Two things. The housing carries an oxidation treatment plus a C5 marine-grade outdoor powder coating — C5 being the highest corrosivity category in the standard classification, specified for coastal and industrial atmospheres with high salinity or chemical load. The oxidation layer beneath the powder coat is the part that matters most: aluminium floodlights near salt water rarely fail electrically, they fail where the coating is breached and the substrate corrodes underneath, lifting the finish from below.
In a coastal position, yes — the housing specification decides the life of the installation, not the LED. A standard-coated floodlight in salt spray can look poor within two or three years while the light itself still works perfectly, and replacing it is a ladder job plus a fitting. Away from salt or chemical exposure, the standard version is the sensible choice and this is money spent on protection you do not need.
The datasheet attached to this listing states 20/30/50W — the smaller Marine fitting's range — while this product is the 100/150/200W. Quoting those figures for a 200W floodlight would understate it several times over. The marine construction detail above is unaffected, because it describes the Marine range as a whole and the sibling 20/30/50W listing carries a sheet our process verified. Ask us for the correct output table.
No, and this is the clearest example of that field being meaningless: a salt-water-resistant floodlight whose entire reason for existing is a coastal outdoor position. Across the whole Domus catalogue the field holds "Indoor" 340 times and "Outdoor" once, so it is a blanket setting rather than a judgement about any product. Read the IP66 and the C5 coating, which say the opposite.
Ask us, because this is where marine installations usually come undone. A C5 housing on standard bolts corrodes at the bolts, and the BLAZE-PRO corner bracket sold in this catalogue does not state a coating standard — nothing says it matches the fitting. We would rather specify the whole assembly, fixings included, than have you buy a marine-grade light and mount it on hardware that fails first.
No. That holds across the entire BLAZE-PRO range and no external control changes it. If your design needs to reduce output overnight, ask us and we will find a floodlight that supports it.
Yes, and it is a good use for it. Chlorinated humidity attacks standard powder coatings in much the same way salt air does, and the anti-condensation breathing valve helps with the other pool-area problem — a sealed floodlight in humid air fogging on the inside of the lens. Specify the fixings to match, and keep the mounting position out of direct splash if you can.
