A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The Domus BLAZE-PRO 24 V is a 100 W extra-low-voltage LED box floodlight, IP66, tri-colour, supplied with a 26 cm garden spike and requiring a 24 V DC constant-voltage driver.
Its record says 24 V and DC, and both are correct. ⭐ That is worth stating, because two AURA step lights and two PLEX-COB strips elsewhere in this catalogue record 240 V AC on 24 V products — an error that could send someone to wire an extra-low-voltage fitting to mains. This one is recorded properly.
⛔ Its application field still says Indoor, on an IP66 floodlight supplied with a garden spike. That field holds “Indoor” on 340 of 342 Domus products and carries no information.
24 V DC LED box floodlight, 100 W, tri-colour 3000 / 4000 / 5500 K, up to 12,194 lm at 4000 K. IP66, 120° beam, CRI ≥70, 110 lm/W. ⛔ A 24 V DC constant-voltage LED driver is required and not included — wire in parallel. 26 cm spike included; 50 cm spike sold separately. 4.5 kV surge protection. Frosted glass with an anti-condensation breathing valve. Operating range −40 °C to +45 °C. ⛔ Not dimmable. ⚠ Lifespan 20,000 hrs. ⚠ Warranty not recorded — ask us.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
No, and this is the thing that stops an installation dead. It runs on 24V DC and cannot be wired to mains — you need a 24V DC constant-voltage LED driver, wired in parallel, sized for every fitting on the run with headroom. At 100W each these are substantial extra-low-voltage loads; two of them is 200W before any allowance. Tell us how many you are running and we will size it with you.
Safety and placement. An extra-low-voltage fitting can go in a garden bed, near water, or anywhere within reach, where a 240V floodlight would be the wrong call. The 240V BLAZE-PRO carries its driver on board and wires straight to mains, which is simpler — but it is not the fitting to put on a spike in a garden someone walks through.
Ask us before you buy it, because volt drop is the usual reason a low-voltage garden installation disappoints. At 24V a long run with undersized cable drops voltage and the fitting dims — and at 100W the current is high enough that this happens sooner than people expect. Give us the run length and the number of fittings and we will specify the cable with the driver.
A 26cm spike is included. A 50cm version is sold separately — it is listed in this catalogue as the BLAZE-PRO 24V DC 50CM Spike, and this fitting's datasheet is the only source that explains what that product is for. Choose the 50cm where planting will grow up around the fitting, or where the ground is soft and a short spike will not hold a floodlight of this size steady.
Three are selectable on the fitting: 3000K at 11,490lm, 4000K at 12,194lm and 5500K at 11,666lm. 4000K gives the most light by about 6%, which is not enough to decide on. For uplighting trees and planting, 3000K usually looks better — warm light on foliage and bark reads naturally where cool light makes greenery look grey. Note our product record lists only two of the three; the 5500K is missing from the record, not from the product.
No — the datasheet says so plainly. Nor does putting a dimmable driver in front of it change that. If the design needs to reduce output overnight, ask us and we will find a fitting that supports it.
It is at the low end for LED — most of this catalogue quotes 50,000 hours. For garden uplighting running a few hours each evening it is a very long time. For anything running dusk to dawn all year it is a replacement cycle worth planning for, roughly four and a half years at 12 hours a night.
