The Domus BLAZE-PRO is a power-selectable LED floodlight — 100 W, 150 W or 200 W by switch, up to 22,000 lumens, IP66, with 3000 K / 4000 K / 5500 K selectable and a 4.5 kV surge protection.
✅ One fitting, three wattages — and that is the point. A switch on the fitting sets it to 100 W, 150 W or 200 W, and a second switch sets the colour. In practice that means:
| Setting | Output | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| 100 W | 11,000 lm | A domestic yard, a driveway, a small car park |
| 150 W | 16,500 lm | A large yard, a loading area, a sports surface |
| 200 W | 22,000 lm | Commercial frontage, hardstand, warehouse apron |
✅ The colour setting does not change the output. All three wattages run at 110 lm/W whichever colour you choose, so you can pick the colour on appearance alone and the brightness on the job.
110 lm/W at every setting, which is efficient for a floodlight of this scale.
⚠ 22,000 lumens is a great deal of light. Aim it down, not out, and check what it does at a neighbour's window before you leave it. A 120° beam spreads widely, so a badly aimed floodlight is a nuisance over a long distance.
Colour rendering here is 70 or above, which is low. Elsewhere in this catalogue you will find CRI 90 fittings, and the difference is visible: colours under a CRI 70 source look flat and slightly grey.
IP66 — dust tight and protected against powerful water jets. That is a step above the IP65 fittings in this catalogue and the right rating for something fully exposed, including washdown areas. It does not dim. 20,000 hours — ⚠ shorter than the 50,000 hours most Domus LED fittings claim, which is normal for a high-output floodlight running hot. Warranty 3 years.
Power selectable: 100 / 150 / 200 W by switch giving 11,000 / 16,500 / 22,000 lm. 3000 K / 4000 K / 5500 K selectable, CRI ≥70, 120° beam, SMD, 20,000 hrs, not dimmable. DOB (driver on board), 4.5 kV surge protection, anti-condensation breathing valve, frosted glass lens, 1.5 m flex and plug, sensor adaptor interface (sensor separate). 240 V AC, IP66 — dust tight, powerful water jets. Warranty 3 years.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
You do not have to choose before buying — a switch on the fitting sets it, so you can put it up, look at the result at night and change it. As a guide: 100 W (11,000lm) for a domestic yard or driveway, 150 W (16,500lm) for a large yard or loading area, 200 W (22,000lm) for a commercial frontage or hardstand. The colour setting does not change the output — all three wattages run at 110 lumens per watt — so choose the colour on appearance and the wattage on the job. Our own record holds no wattage at all for this product, so set it deliberately rather than leaving it where it arrived.
It depends what you are lighting. For a hardstand, a yard or a driveway — seeing, moving and being safe — it is fine. For a garden, planting, or anywhere colour matters, it is not: colours under a CRI 70 source look flat and slightly grey, and this catalogue has CRI 90 spotlights for that. If it is going up for security camera coverage, know that recorded colour will be poor.
The commonest way a floodlight dies is condensation forming behind the lens as it heats and cools each day. The valve lets the housing breathe without letting water in — on an outdoor fitting that is the difference between five years and one.
Floodlights sit on exposed circuits, often on long runs, and a nearby strike or a switching surge is what kills them. 4.5 kV is genuine protection rather than a marketing line, and it is unusual at this price.
No — it has a sensor adaptor interface, so one can be added, but the sensor is a separate part. Ask us and we will quote them together.
It comes with a 1.5 m flex and plug, so where a suitable outdoor socket is available it is a genuine DIY fitting. Anything hard-wired needs a licensed electrician.
That is normal for a high-output floodlight — it runs hot, and heat is what shortens LED life. It is an honest figure rather than a worse product.
