The Domus BL-300-1M-KIT is a complete conical louvred bollard — head and a 1 metre post — IP54, taking one E27 globe to 25 W, in beige, black, silver, green or white.

✅ This is a KIT, and it includes the post. Worth saying plainly, because the documentation behind it describes the head on its own: the datasheet attached to this product is the head-only BL-300 sheet, and its text reads “conical bollard head only to suit 76 mm post”. That sheet is right about the head and wrong about what you are buying.

What is in the box: the conical louvred head (210 mm) and a 1 metre 76 mm post. What is not: a BB-100 base if you are fixing to a hard surface, and an E27 globe.

✅ Louvred — the feature the name mentions and no page explained

The BL-300's cone is louvred: horizontal slots in the shade rather than a plain surface. That is not decoration.

  • Each louvre blocks the direct view of the globe from above the slot, so light leaves in horizontal bands aimed downward and you never see the source.
  • ✅ The result is less glare than a clear-glass head and a more defined pattern on the ground than a diffused one.
  • ✅ It is the choice where the bollard sits beside a window or a seating area and a bright cylinder would be intrusive.
IP54 — and why the louvres change what that means

Dust protected and shielded against splashing water from any direction. ⚠ On a louvred head the dust rating matters more than usual: slots collect debris more readily than a smooth surface, and cobwebs across louvres are the commonest reason a garden bollard looks tired. Expect to brush it out occasionally — it is a two-minute job and it keeps the pattern crisp.

⚠ Not rated for pooling water or submersion.

The globe
  • One E27, 25 W maximum, not supplied. A 9 W LED at around 800 lm is the sensible fit.
  • Warm 2700–3000 K.
  • ✅ Opal, not clear filament — behind louvres a clear globe throws visible striped shadows and a hot spot through the slots.
  • ⚠ Rated for enclosed fixtures and outdoor use.
⚠ One thing to tell us when you order

All five colours share a single product code in our system — there is no separate number for beige, black, silver, green or white. State the finish clearly on your order and we will confirm it back to you before anything is picked.

Die-cast aluminium, powder coated. Head 210 mm; the kit stands roughly 1.2 metres with its 1 metre post — ⚠ the height recorded against this product is the head's alone, so ask us if the exact overall figure matters. 240 V mains, licensed electrician and a circuit run out to it. ⚠ Warranty 1 year. Space them 3–4 m apart.

Where it works
  • Paths, driveway edges and garden beds — complete, out of the box.
  • Beside windows and seating — the louvres control glare.
  • Modern and traditional gardens alike — a plain louvred cone is neutral.
  • ⚠ Add a BB-100 base if fixing to a hard surface, and a globe.
  • ⚠ State the finish on your order — all five share one code.

Questions
Does this include the post?

Yes — this is the kit: the conical louvred head and a 1-metre 76 mm post. Worth saying plainly, because the datasheet attached to it is the head-only BL-300 sheet, whose text reads "conical bollard head only to suit 76 mm post". That sheet is right about the head and wrong about what you are buying. You will still need a BB-100 base if fixing to a hard surface, and an E27 globe.

What does "louvred" mean and why does it matter?

The cone has horizontal slots rather than a plain surface. Each louvre blocks the direct view of the globe from above it, so light leaves in horizontal bands aimed downward and you never see the source. That gives less glare than a clear-glass head and a more defined pattern on the ground than a diffused one — it is the choice where a bollard sits beside a window or a seating area.

Do the louvres need cleaning?

Occasionally, yes. Slots collect debris more readily than a smooth surface, and cobwebs across louvres are the commonest reason a garden bollard looks tired. Brushing them out is a two-minute job and it keeps the pattern crisp.

Which globe should I fit?

25 W is the maximum and a 9 W LED at around 800 lumens is the sensible fit. Warm 2700–3000 K, and opal rather than clear filament — behind louvres a clear globe throws visible striped shadows and a hot spot through the slots. Rated for enclosed fixtures and outdoor use.

How tall is the whole thing?

Roughly 1.2 metres — a 210 mm head on a 1-metre post. The height recorded against this product is the head’s alone, so if the exact overall figure matters to your setting-out, ask us and we will confirm it.

How do I make sure I get the right colour?

State the finish clearly on your order. All five colours share a single product code in our system — there is no separate number for beige, black, silver, green or white — so we will confirm the finish back to you before anything is picked.

How far apart should I space them?

3 to 4 metres for a continuous run along a path.
