The Domus BB-100 is the bollard base — the powder-coated plate that fixes a 60–76 mm post to a hard surface, in beige, black, silver, green or white.

This is the part people forget, and then the job stops. A Domus bollard is assembled from separate components:

  • A head — BL-100 three-tier, BL-200 opal, BL-300 conical or BL-400 cylindrical.
  • A 76 mm post — 1 m, 1.5 m or 2 m.
  • This base — if you are fixing to concrete, paving, a plinth or a deck.
  • An E27 globe — no head includes one.

✅ You do not always need it. If the post is being set directly into the ground or concreted in, a base plate is not required. It exists for surface fixing, where you cannot dig.

When a base is the right answer
  • Concrete, paving or a paved path — the usual case. Bolt down rather than break the surface.
  • A deck or a timber plinth.
  • Anywhere the bollard may be removed or repositioned later — a bolted base comes up cleanly; a concreted post does not.
  • Where cable entry has to come through the surface rather than up through soil.

⚠ Match the finish to the post and head. All three come in the same five colours, and a black base under a beige post is the sort of detail that is obvious once installed and annoying to change.

⚠ What we cannot tell you — and it is nearly everything

We would rather be plain than pretend. This product has no datasheet, and its record in our system is completely empty. There is no dimension, no material, no weight, no warranty and no fixing detail held anywhere.

That means we cannot tell you:

  • The base plate's diameter or footprint — what it will cover, and whether it suits your paving module.
  • The bolt pattern or fixing centres — which is what your installer needs before drilling anything.
  • The height it adds to the assembly.
  • The cable entry arrangement.
  • The material — almost certainly aluminium to match the range, but we will not assert it.

Ask us before your installer sets out or drills, and we will get the fixing detail from Domus. On a component whose only job is fixing, that is not a detail worth guessing.

Suits 60 mm and 76 mm posts — the range covers both, so it works with the standard Domus 76 mm post and with 60 mm posts such as the one under the POLYSPHERE.

What does a complete bollard need?

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
