This is a 3 metre low-voltage extension cable for Domus bathroom heater units.
⛔ Send us your heater model and tell us what you are extending before you order. We hold two fields about this cable.
What we can tell you: it is a 3 metre extension cable, described as low voltage, for a Domus bathroom heater.
What no source records — and what decides whether it is the right part: the voltage (the title says low voltage and no figure is given), the connector type at each end, the conductor size, the current rating, which units it fits, and the warranty term. There is no datasheet.
⚠ Our record also lists this cable as having a “built-in LED”. It does not — it is a cable.
A photograph of the existing plug and the model number from the ceiling unit settles all of it in one message.
Even a low-voltage lead in a bathroom heater installation means opening the fascia of a 240 V appliance in a wet area.
⛔ Voltage. Connector type. Conductor size. Current rating. Maximum total run length. Which units it fits. Warranty term.
None appears in the manufacturer's data or our own record. On a cable feeding a 2,250 W appliance's control circuit, guessing at any of them would be worse than leaving them out.
3 metre low-voltage extension cable for Domus bathroom heater units.
⛔ No datasheet exists for this part. Its voltage, connector type, conductor size, current rating, maximum total run length, compatible units and warranty term are all unrecorded, and we are not publishing figures we cannot stand behind. ⚠ Our record's “built-in LED” entry is the wrong field for a cable.
Send us a photograph of the existing plug, the model number from the ceiling unit, and the distance you need to cover, and we will confirm the correct part with Domus before you order. Installation by a licensed electrician.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Send us a photograph of the plug on the existing lead and the model number from the ceiling unit, and we will confirm with Domus. The connector type is what has to match and it is not recorded anywhere — there is no datasheet for this part and the product record holds two fields.
Not recorded. The title says low voltage and no figure is given anywhere, which is not enough to work from on a cable feeding a heater's control circuit. Ask us and we will confirm.
Ask us first. A low-voltage control run has a maximum length beyond which voltage drop makes the control unreliable — a switch that works intermittently, or a function that will not respond. No source we hold states that maximum or whether extensions may be chained, and this is exactly the kind of thing that produces a fault nobody can diagnose afterwards.
Measure the run along the route the cable will actually take rather than in a straight line, and tell us the figure along with your heater model. The supplied lead length varies by model, so whether 3 metres of extension is enough depends on the unit as well as the distance.
Because the supplied lead does not reach. These units separate the heater from its wall switch with a plug-in low-voltage lead rather than hard wiring, which is what makes the switch replaceable without an electrician touching the ceiling unit. An extension is needed where the switch is on the far side of a door, the unit is set back in a long bathroom, or the switch position is fixed by an existing wall box.
No. Even a low-voltage lead means opening the fascia of a 240 V appliance in a wet area, and the units behind these fascias carry the heater load as well as the fan and lights. Isolate at the switchboard rather than at the wall switch, and treat it as licensed electrical work.
No — it is a cable. Our product record lists a "built-in LED" for this item, and that is simply the wrong field rather than a wrong value.
