Deny 2 Light Floor Lamp Black

The Deny is a 1,500 mm two-light floor lamp in black iron, only 90 mm wide, taking GU10 globes.

90 mm wide is remarkably slim

Most two-light floor lamps need a substantial footprint to stay upright. The Deny is nine centimetres across and holds its balance through weight instead — 4.1 kg concentrated low. That means it fits beside a sofa arm, between a chair and a wall, or in the narrow gap most floor lamps cannot use.

GU10, which is unusual on a floor lamp

Floor lamps almost always take E27. The Deny takes two GU10 spot globes at 5 W each, which changes what it does: GU10s are directional, so this throws two defined beams rather than a soft glow. Fit narrow-beam globes for reading, wide ones for a wash — you control that, and the globes are cheap to change.

Two lights, two jobs

With two heads on one slim stem you can aim one at a book and the other at a wall, so a single lamp covers both task and ambient light in a corner.

Globes not supplied, and dimming follows them

5 W maximum per globe. The lamp has no driver, so dimmable GU10s on a compatible dimmer will dim and standard ones will not. Buy the pair together.
