The Delore EX is a 170 mm exterior wall light with a flared shade and a rounded opal diffuser — one globe to 25 W, not supplied — IP44, in vintage brass, black sand or white sand.
⚠ ASK US WHICH GLOBE IT TAKES BEFORE YOU BUY ONE. Our datasheet says E14 (the small candle base); our record and the old page say E27 (the standard large screw). They are different globes, and the wrong one simply will not fit. We cannot settle it from what we hold — the page is generated from the record, so those two are one source, not two. Ask us and we will confirm with Telbix, or wait until the fitting is in your hands before buying a globe.
⚠ It is an OUTDOOR fitting, rated IP44. Our record says IP20 and the old specification table said “Usage: Indoor” — on a product whose title, type and own application field all say exterior. IP20 means no weather protection at all, so that pairing was not just wrong but dangerous to act on. The datasheet says IP44, and that is what is published.
Worth being precise, because the ratings are not interchangeable. IP44 is rated against splashing water from any direction — rain that reaches a wall, spray off a path. It is not rated against jets or heavy driven rain. So: under an eave, in a porch, on a sheltered courtyard wall, beside a door. Not on the weather side of the house, and not where a sprinkler hits it. If you need an exposed wall, the IP65 fittings in this range are the ones.
That is the number to plan around. The Delore stands 280 mm off the wall on a 120 mm backplate, which is more than most exterior wall lights in this range. The flared shade hangs out over the ground, so light lands on the path in front of the door rather than down the wall — genuinely useful at an entry, and an obstruction in a narrow walkway. Measure the space.
The flared aluminium shade directs light downward and shields the source from above; the rounded opal diffuser beneath it spreads what comes through so there is no bright point to look into from below. That combination — directional above, diffuse below — is what gives it the mid-century, Scandi character rather than the utilitarian look of a bulkhead.
Vintage brass is warm and ages gracefully outdoors; black sand disappears at night and hides marks; white sand stays bright against pale render. All sand-textured rather than gloss, which outdoors matters — gloss shows salt, dust and water marks.
It is Class I — earth required and hard-wired, at 1.1 kg. A licensed electrician installs it — genuinely, on this page. Dimming is globe dependent: a dimmable globe with a wall dimmer will dim it; a plain one will not. Our record says “No”, which is misleading.
170 mm high by 130 mm wide, projection 280 mm, backplate 120 mm, 1.1 kg, in aluminium and glass, sand finish. One globe to 25 W, not supplied; the base is recorded as both E14 and E27 — ask us before buying one. Dimming is globe dependent. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP44 — covered exterior; splash-rated, not jet-rated. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.

No. IP44 is rated against splashing water — rain reaching a wall, spray off a path — not jets or heavy driven rain. Under an eave, in a porch or on a sheltered courtyard wall. If you need an exposed position, the IP65 fittings in this range are the ones.
