Deco-13-Tilt - Round 13W Tilt Colour Switchable Led Downlight Ip44 240V - Trio

The Domus DECO-13-TILT is a 13 W tiltable deep-set downlight in black or white — 90° beam, switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5700 K, only 41.5 mm deep, in TRIO or DALI.

Tiltable, and only 41.5 mm deep — an unusual combination

Most tilting downlights need depth, because the mechanism has to swing inside the housing. This one does not:

• 41.5 mm against the tiltable DEEP-13's 94 mm and the SCOOP's 147 mm.
• That puts aiming within reach of concrete ceilings, shallow batten spaces, apartments and renovations where a deep tilting fitting simply will not go.
• ⚠ The trade is tilt range: a shallow housing cannot swing as far as a deep one. For steep angles, the SCOOP's 45° is the fitting.

A 90° beam that tilts — use it for washing, not spotting

This is a wide beam, unlike the 36° DEEP-13 or the 60° SCOOP:

• ✅ Wall washing is what it is for. A row set back from a wall and angled at it turns the whole wall into a soft light source, with no scallops and no hot spots.
• ✅ Correcting a position — when a joist forces a fitting off-centre, the tilt puts the light where the light was meant to be.
• ⚠ It is not an accent light. A 90° beam aimed at a picture lights the picture, the wall, the floor and the sofa. For accenting, use a narrow-beam fitting.

Plan roughly 2 m spacing from a 2.4 m ceiling.

⚠ Two qualifiers the datasheet states and our page did not

• The IP44 rating applies from the underside, once installed into the ceiling. It is not a sealed fitting. For a genuine wet area or above a bath, ask us about the AQUA at IP65.
• Dimming is tested on the Domus dimmer series, and the datasheet says it “may work on others but has not been tested”. That is materially weaker than “dimmable”. ✅ Tell us the dimmer you intend to use before ordering and we will tell you whether it is a tested pairing.

The numbers

• 800 lm at 3000 K, 850 lm at 4000 K, 900 lm at 5700 K.
• 65 lm/W at 4000 K — the price of the deep-set frame.
• CRI ≥80, SMD, 50,000 hours, Ø110 mm face.
• ⚠ The top setting is 5700 K, colder than 5000, set before installation.

TRIO or DALI

TRIO for a house, dimming from a suitable dimmer. DALI for addressable control on a bus — commercial, not domestic.

Where it works

• Wall washing in shallow ceilings — the combination this fitting owns.
• Concrete, apartments and renovations where a deep tilting fitting will not fit.
• Correcting fittings forced off-position by joists.
• ⛔ Ø95 mm cutout — not the same as the fixed DECO-13.
• ⚠ Not an accent light; a 90° beam lights everything.

TRIO or DALI. Dimming tested on the Domus dimmer series; other dimmers untested. 220–240 V AC, IP44 from the underside once installed. Warranty 3 years.
