Product Description
xThe Coby is a small traditional wall lantern in black or antique brass, 150 mm wide and 270 mm tall. It is a modest, classic shape for a doorway or a garden wall — and there is one thing about it you need to read before ordering.
It is published as IP20, which is not a weather rating. IP20 means protection against fingers and solid objects, with no protection against water at all. Despite the "exterior" name, this fitting should only go somewhere genuinely dry — a fully covered porch, a verandah well back from the edge, a carport interior. If the position sees rain at any angle, choose a fitting rated IP44 or higher, such as the Perova or the Bloc.
Only the small size is stocked
The product name and older copy refer to a small and a large. Only the small,
COBY EX15, is actually available, in black or antique brass. If you came here for
the large one, it is not something we can supply.
Where it works
- Fully covered porches and entry recesses that stay dry in rain.
- Carport and garage interiors, where a traditional look is wanted.
- Undercover walkways set well back from the weather.
- Indoor use — hallways, laundries and mudrooms, where IP20 is not a limitation at all.
Specifying it
It takes a single E27 globe up to 25 W, not supplied. The body is 150 mm wide and 270 mm tall, surface mounted on 240 V. Rated IP20 — dry locations only. Warranty is one year, shorter than most of the Telbix range.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You. If you are unsure whether your position stays dry, send us a photo before ordering — it is a cheap conversation compared with replacing a water-damaged fitting.
Questions
Can it get wet?
No. It is rated IP20, which offers no protection against water. Use it only in a genuinely dry position such as a fully covered porch, or indoors. For anywhere exposed to rain, choose an IP44 or higher fitting.
Is the large size available?
No. Despite the name, only the small COBY EX15 is stocked, in black or antique brass.
How big is it?
150 mm wide and 270 mm tall.
Is a globe included?
No. One E27 globe up to 25 W, supplied separately.
What is the warranty?
One year — shorter than most of the Telbix catalogue.
Can I use it indoors?
Yes, and IP20 is no limitation inside. It suits hallways, laundries and mudrooms.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Credits will be issued in the form of store credit or gift voucher and will be equal to the price paid for the product minus the cost of shipping. Store credit vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issuance.
Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.

- Restocking fee: 20% will apply unless otherwise stated, or unless another order of equal or greater value is placed in lieu of this re-stocking fee.
