Clovis 24V Mr16 Exterior Post Spike Light

The Clovis is a 600 mm garden post light on a spike — 24 V, a replaceable 5 W MR16 LED included, 400 lm at 2700 K, CRI above 90, IP65 — in black, green or corten, with a glass lens.

Glass rather than polycarbonate

The difference from its sibling. The Manus uses a polycarbonate lens; the Clovis uses glass. Glass does not yellow or haze under UV, which over ten years in full Australian sun is a real distinction — a clouded polycarbonate lens loses output and looks tired. Glass is more brittle if something hits it; in a bed rather than a path, that rarely matters.

2700 K and CRI above 90 — specified for planting

2700 K is genuinely warm and makes foliage look alive rather than fluorescent. CRI >90 means greens read as greens. Most garden lights are 3000 K at CRI 80 and turn a planting scheme grey-blue after dark.

The globe is replaceable

MR16, not a sealed LED. When it fails you change the globe, not the fitting — you do not dig it out of the bed. And you can change the beam angle later: narrow to spot a shrub, wide to wash a bed.

600 mm, on a spike

Tall enough to see over groundcover and light it from above, and pushed in rather than concreted — so when the planting grows and the light no longer sits right, you move it. Gardens change; fixed fittings do not.

Low voltage and IP65

Class III — under 54 volts past the driver, which is the right way to run cable through ground that gets dug and edged for years. IP65 — dust tight and water-jet protected, no cover needed.

• Full-sun positions, where glass outlasts plastic.
• Schemes that will be replanted.

Specifying it

600 mm tall, 60 mm head, cable 1,000 mm, in aluminium and glass, sand finish. One MR16 LED at 5 W giving 400 lm at 2700 K — INCLUDED and replaceable, CRI >90. Not dimmable. 24 V — driver required, not included, Class III — low voltage, IP65 — dust tight and water-jet protected. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
