Cilindor is a slim cylindrical garden spike spotlight — a ø34 mm head, 110 mm long, on a 225 mm spike, drawing 3 W through a 36° beam. Three finishes, and the difference between them is material rather than paint: solid brass, solid brass with an antique finish, and powder-coated black aluminium. That is the real decision. The two brass versions have no coating to chip and will patinate outdoors into something that looks like it belongs in the garden; the black aluminium version stays uniform and disappears into a bed. All three cost the same, so choose on how you want the fitting to age.

The decision that matters: this is a 12 V fitting

All three finishes are 12 V DC. Cilindor requires a 12 V DC LED driver and must never be connected directly to 240 V — that destroys the fitting immediately and is not a warranty claim. Keep each fitting within 25 m of its driver; outside that Havit's warranty does not apply. At 3 W each these are a light load, so a long run of them sits comfortably on one modest driver. A 2000 mm reinforced tail is supplied.

Where it works

• Uplighting slim trunks, cycads and tree ferns — a 36° beam and a narrow body suit a narrow subject.
• Grazing rendered walls and stone piers from close in, where the fitting itself should barely register.
• Brass-detailed and heritage gardens in solid or antique brass, matched to door and gate hardware.
• Path and driveway beds at ankle height, where the IK10 impact rating earns its place.

Specifying it

Tri-colour selectable at install, and the product's own table gives identical figures for all three finishes: 250 lm at 3000K, 270 lm at 4000K and 265 lm at 5500K from the built-in 3 W LED, with CRI above 80. Set one temperature across the whole garden. The head tilts through 90°, so the aim is correctable after the spike is in, and the LED is built in — no globe is needed and none can be fitted. Dimmable, and because the dimming happens on the low-voltage side the driver itself has to be a dimmable type. Clear glass lens, IP65 and IP67 for direct weather and ground moisture, IK10 for impact — the highest impact class in common use, which is what you want at mower and boot height.
