Product Description
xThe Cholla FL is a 1,550 mm sculptural LED floor lamp in nickel — 24 W giving 1,736 lm at 4000 K, CRI above 80.
It plugs into a power point. Our page said it “must be installed by a licensed electrician”. It has 2 metres of flex and runs at low voltage internally — unpack it and plug it in. Removed.
⚠ Read this before you buy it: 1,736 lumens, 4000 K, and no dimming. Those three facts together make the Cholla a very different lamp from most floor lamps, and nothing said so.
- 1,736 lm is three times what a typical floor lamp in this range gives — the Sisby gives 575. This is a room light, not a corner glow.
- 4000 K is neutral white, not warm. It is the colour of a kitchen or an office, not a living room. Most floor lamps here are 3000 K.
- It is not dimmable, so it is on or off at full.
That is excellent in a study, a home office, a craft or sewing area, or a reading corner you actually work in. It is wrong beside a sofa in the evening. Ask us and we will point you at a warm dimmable alternative if that is what you want.
The sculptural form — a wave with vertical ridges
The Cholla's body is a wave-like silhouette with vertical textured ridges running up it. Those ridges are not decoration alone: they catch and break the light along the lamp's own surface, so the fitting reads as a lit object with depth rather than a plain column. On a gloss nickel finish, which is what this is, that texture is what stops it reading as a chrome pole.
1.55 metres tall, on a 190 mm base
1,550 mm high with a 190 mm base — a small footprint, which is what lets it slip beside a desk or a chair without taking floor space.
⚠ No weight is recorded anywhere. On a 1.55-metre lamp with a 190 mm base, the weight is the stability, and the figure is in no source. Ask us before putting it somewhere a child, a dog or a chair leg goes past.
72 lumens per watt — efficient for a decorative lamp
24 W for 1,736 lm. That is well above most decorative fittings in this catalogue, which sit between 40 and 55, and it is because the Cholla does not diffuse its output through fabric or tinted glass. You are getting a working amount of light for a floor lamp's power draw.
The LED is integrated and included — nothing to buy, nothing to replace, and equally nothing to change: the 4000 K is fixed. It is IP20 — indoor and dry locations only.

Is it suitable for a living room?
Probably not in the evening. At 1,736 lm, 4000 K and no dimming it is bright, neutral-white and on-or-off — the colour of a kitchen or an office. It is excellent in a study, home office, craft area or a reading corner you actually work in. Ask us and we will point you at a warm dimmable alternative.
How bright is it compared to other floor lamps?
About three times. The Sisby floor lamp in this range gives 575 lm; the Cholla gives 1,736. This is a room light, not a corner glow.
Can I dim it or change the colour?

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
