The Domus CFA-WC1 is a wall controller for Domus DC ceiling fans — nine speeds, reverse, a 1/2/3/8-hour timer, and light on/off, dimming and CCT on compatible fan lights. Radio frequency, 240 V AC, 300 VA total load.

✅ It works alongside the fan's existing remote, not instead of it. That is the point of it: a wall control for everyday use, and the handset still works for the times you want it.

Compatible with all Domus DC ceiling fans, per Domus — and it connects by radio frequency, so it does not need to be wired to the fan. ✅ That makes it retrofittable: it can go on a wall where no switch drop exists for the fan, which is exactly the situation people find themselves in after a fan has been installed.

⛔ Its total load is 300 VA and it is built to AS/NZS 60335-1 and AS/NZS 60335-2-80. Both are on the datasheet and in no product field — and both are what an electrician will ask for.

What it controls, and what "compatible" is doing in that sentence
  • Nine fan speeds — the full DC range, not the three taps an AC fan gives.
  • Reverse, on compatible fans — the winter mode that pushes warm air down off the ceiling.
  • Timer: 1, 2, 3 or 8 hours, for the fan and the light.

⚠ Radio frequency, and what that means for installation
  • ✅ No control wiring to the fan. The controller talks to the fan's receiver over RF, so it needs a 240 V supply at the wall and nothing else.
  • ✅ Which makes it a genuine retrofit — a fan installed with only a remote can gain a wall control without opening the ceiling.
  • ⚠ It still needs pairing with the fan's receiver. Ask us for the instructions with the quote so your electrician has them on the day.
  • ⚠ And it is mains-wired, so installation is licensed electrical work.

Will it work with my fan?

Domus says it is compatible with all their DC ceiling fans, and it connects by radio frequency so there is no control wiring to run. What varies is the light: dimming and CCT work on compatible fan lights, and Domus's own wording carries that qualifier for a reason — not every kit supports both. Send us your fan model and we will confirm which functions you will actually get before you order.

Does it replace the remote?

No — it works alongside it, and Domus designed it that way. That is usually what you want: a wall control is where guests and family look, so a fan operable only by a handset tends to get left on one speed, while the remote stays useful for adjusting from bed.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
