The Domus CELL-W90 is a wall washer frame for the CELL downlight module series, 110 × 110 × 70 mm, in black or white. Cutout Ø88 mm.

⚠ The cutout is Ø88 mm, not 90. Two millimetres, but worth stating: this range has form on names not matching apertures — the CELL-T90 frame takes Ø80 mm despite its name.

✅ In practice Ø88 mm is close enough to the standard 90 mm hole that a retrofit is plausible, since apertures are usually quoted as a range and a trim covers a small overcut. ⛔ But we are not going to assume it. Tell us the hole you have and we will confirm with Domus in writing before you commit to a ceiling full of them.

⚠ And the datasheet attached to this listing is not its own — it is the CELL-9 module's sheet, whose parts list contains module codes rather than this frame, and whose cutout line describes a rectangular SLOTCELL. So the Ø88 mm comes from the product record alone.

What a wall washer frame does
  • A wall washer throws light forward and down onto a vertical surface, from a recessed fitting set back from the wall — rather than straight down like an ordinary downlight.
  • ✅ The effect is an even sheet of light on the wall, top to bottom, without the scalloped arcs a row of ordinary downlights produces.
  • ✅ It is what makes a gallery wall, a feature stone wall or a long corridor read as a lit plane rather than as a series of bright patches.
  • ⚠ The set-back distance matters. Too close to the wall and you get a hot band at the top; too far and the wash weakens. Tell us the ceiling height and we will suggest a distance.
  • ⚠ And it is directional, so it has to be installed facing the right way. We will confirm that with the order.
Wall washer or tilt?
  • A wall washer is optimised for an even vertical wash from a fixed geometry. ✅ Right for a continuous run along a wall.
  • A tilt frame (DT90 or T90) aims a beam wherever you point it. ✅ Right for picking out specific objects, and adjustable after the room is furnished.
  • ✅ For a gallery wall, a washer run gives a more even result; for individual artworks, tilt heads give control.
  • ⚠ They are not interchangeable in a run — mixing them along one wall will show, because the light distributions differ.
What a frame is and is not
  • ⛔ A frame is not a light. The CELL module and its driver are separate — CELL-9 (9 W) or CELL-13 (13 W), in Trio or DALI.
  • ✅ The module carries the beam angle. ⚠ On a wall washer the beam choice interacts with the optic in a way it does not on a plain frame — ask us which module Domus intends for this frame rather than choosing on the beam figure alone.
  • ✅ And the five colour temperatures, including 2700 K.
  • ⚠ Set every module in a washer run to the same colour. A colour difference is far more visible on a lit wall than on a floor, because you see both pools at once.
Depth and clearance
  • 70 mm deep, which puts it with the deep frames (D75, D90, DT90) rather than the shallow S-series.
  • ⚠ Plus the module above: 56 mm for Trio, 68 mm for DALI.
  • 110 × 110 mm body — it needs that much clear between joists or battens, and near a wall that is exactly where a top plate or a bulkhead tends to be. Check the framing, not just the void.

Probably, but ask us before you commit to a ceiling full of them. Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
