The Domus CELL-S2 is a two-light slotter frame for the CELL downlight module series, 190 × 100 × 50 mm, in black or white.

CELL is a two-part system: a frame that goes into the ceiling, and modules that clip into it. That is what lets one aperture take a fixed downlight, a tiltable one, or a different wattage — and lets you change your mind later without touching the ceiling.

Cutout depends on which module you use:

Why a two-light frame rather than two downlights
  • ✅ Two apertures in one trim, aligned and evenly spaced by the frame itself. Setting out two separate downlights 90 mm apart and getting them level and parallel is fiddly; a frame does it for you.
  • ✅ It reads as a deliberate detail rather than two holes — particularly in a bulkhead, above a bench, or in a hallway where a pair is repeated.
  • ✅ You can mix modules within one frame — one fixed and one tiltable, for instance, to wash a wall and light the floor from a single point.
  • ⚠ Both modules share one aperture line, so they cannot be aimed at wildly different targets. For that, two separate fittings are the answer.
Planning the installation
  • The frame is 190 × 100 mm and 50 mm deep — shallow enough for most voids, but check clearance above, and check the framing: a 190 mm-long frame needs to sit between joists or battens.
  • Cut both apertures to the module's figure, not to the frame outline.
  • ⚠ Decide on the modules first. The Ø70–75 mm and Ø85 mm options are not interchangeable once the ceiling is cut, and the K75 and P75 are the ones that need the larger hole.

Choosing the finish

Black recedes into an aperture and reduces the apparent glare of the module behind it. White disappears into a white ceiling.

✅ Match the frame and the modules — a white frame with black modules is a deliberate look, but only if it is deliberate.

Does it come with the lights?

No — this is the frame only, and the CELL modules are sold separately. CELL is a two-part system: a frame that goes into the ceiling and modules that clip into it. What size holes does it need?

It depends on the module. Standard CELL modules take Ø70–75 mm per aperture; the CELL-K75 and CELL-P75 take Ø85 mm. Decide on the modules first — the two options are not interchangeable once the ceiling is cut.

Why use a two-light frame instead of two separate downlights?

Alignment. Setting out two downlights close together and getting them level, parallel and evenly spaced is fiddly, and any error is visible forever. A frame does it for you, and it reads as a deliberate detail rather than two holes — particularly in a bulkhead, above a bench, or in a hallway where the pair is repeated.

Can I mix module types in one frame?

Yes, and it is one of the better reasons to use CELL — one fixed module and one tiltable, for instance, to wash a wall and light the floor from a single point. What you cannot do is aim them at wildly different targets, because both share one aperture line. For that you want two separate fittings.

Will it fit my ceiling void?

It is 50 mm deep, which suits most voids, but check two things: the clearance above, and the framing. The frame is 190 mm long, so it needs to sit between joists or battens rather than across one.

Do the modules include a driver?

Ask us and we will confirm with the quote. It varies across the CELL module range and it is exactly the kind of thing that holds up an installation if it is assumed rather than checked.

Should the frame and modules match in colour?

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.

  • Restocking fee: 20% will apply unless otherwise stated, or unless another order of equal or greater value is placed in lieu of this re-stocking fee.
