The Domus CELL-DT90 is a deep tilt frame for the CELL downlight module series, 90 × 90 × 70 mm, in black or white. Cutout Ø90 mm.

✅ This is the CELL frame that puts a tilting aperture into an existing Ø90 mm ceiling. Ø90 mm is the common Australian downlight hole, so pull out an old halogen fitting, drop this frame in, and click in a CELL module.

⚠ Do not confuse it with the CELL-T90, which sounds like it does the same job and does not — that frame takes Ø80 mm. Within this range the naming is reliable on the D-series and unreliable on the T90, so it is worth being explicit:

⚠ One note on sources: the datasheet shared across the CELL frame family gives a cutout of Ø70–75 mm, which is the S-series figure and does not describe this frame. The title and record are the reliable sources here — and that is the reverse of the usual position in this catalogue.

What "deep" gives you
  • 70 mm deep, against 50 mm for the shallow tilt frame.
  • ✅ Depth sets the lamp back from the ceiling line, which reduces glare at a shallow viewing angle — the geometry that makes a flush downlight uncomfortable when you walk towards a run of them.
  • ✅ It also shades the aperture, so the fitting reads as a dark recess when off rather than as a lit-looking hole.
  • ⚠ The trade-off is void depth. 70 mm for the frame, plus the module above it — Trio 56 mm, DALI 68 mm. On a retrofit, check what is above the existing hole before assuming a like-for-like swap.

  • ⭐ And the IC-4 rating stated on the module datasheets — ⚠ the frame is part of the assembly, so ask us and we will confirm the pairing in writing.
Choosing the finish

Black recedes into the aperture and reduces the apparent glare of the module behind it; white disappears into a white ceiling. ✅ Match the frame to the module.

Will it fit my existing downlight holes?

Very likely — Ø90 mm is the common Australian downlight aperture, which is exactly why this frame exists. Pull out an old halogen fitting, drop this frame into the same hole and click in a CELL module, and you have a tilting aperture where the fitting you took out was fixed and sealed. Check the depth above the hole though: 70 mm for the frame plus the module.

What is the difference between the DT90 and the T90?

The cutout and the depth, and the names do not help. The DT90 takes Ø90 mm and is 70 mm deep — a retrofit into a standard hole. The T90 takes Ø80 mm and is 50 mm deep — a new ceiling, shallow void. If you are working with existing holes, this is the one.

The datasheet says 70–75 mm — which is right?

The Ø90 mm, from the title and the record. The datasheet is shared across the CELL frame family and its cutout line gives the S-series figure, which does not describe this frame. That is the reverse of the usual position in this catalogue, where the datasheet is normally the reliable source, so it is worth saying rather than leaving you to reconcile them.

How much depth do I really need?

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
