The Domus CELL-D90 is a deep 90 mm cut-out frame for the CELL downlight module series, 90 × 90 × 70 mm, in black or white.
✅ Ø90 mm is the common Australian downlight aperture — so this frame is what turns a CELL module into a straight retrofit.
Pull out an old halogen downlight, drop this frame into the same hole, and click in a CELL module. ✅ No patching, no recutting, and you gain a replaceable lamp where the fitting you took out was sealed.
⚠ One note on sources: the datasheet shared across the CELL frame family gives a cutout of Ø70–75 mm, which is the S-series figure and does not describe this frame. The title and the product record are the reliable sources here — Ø90 mm — which is the reverse of the usual position in this catalogue and worth saying out loud.
Deep 90 mm cut-out frame for the Domus CELL downlight module series. 90 × 90 × 70 mm. Black or white. ✅ Cutout Ø90 mm — the common Australian aperture.
⛔ The CELL module and its driver are sold separately — CELL-9 or CELL-13, in 15°, 24°, 36° or 60°, Trio or DALI. ⚠ Allow for the module above the frame: Trio 56 mm, DALI 68 mm. ⚠ The shared frame datasheet states Ø70–75 mm, which is the S-series figure and not this frame's. Warranty 3 years. Tell us the room and we will list the frame, the module and the beam together.

Very likely — Ø90 mm is the common Australian downlight aperture, which is exactly why this frame exists. Pull out an old halogen downlight, drop this frame into the same hole and click in a CELL module: no patching, no recutting, and you gain a replaceable lamp where the fitting you took out was sealed. Check the depth above the existing hole, though: 70 mm for the frame plus the module and driver.
The Ø90 mm, from the title and the product record. The datasheet is shared across the CELL frame family and its cutout line gives the S-series figure, which does not describe this frame. That is the reverse of the usual position in this catalogue, where the datasheet is normally the reliable source — so it is worth saying out loud rather than leaving you to reconcile the two.
70 mm of depth against 50 mm for the CELL-S1. Depth sets the lamp back from the ceiling line, which reduces glare at a shallow viewing angle — the geometry that makes a flush downlight uncomfortable when you walk towards a run of them. It also shades the aperture, so the fitting reads as a dark recess when off rather than a lit-looking hole.
Frame plus module where you want to choose the beam angle — the module comes in 15°, 24°, 36° and 60°, where the assembled CELL downlights are 60° only — or where maintenance access matters, or where the ceiling goes in now and the fitting later. A complete CELL-9-D90 or CELL-13-D90 where you want one part number. Both routes take a Ø90 mm hole, so the choice is not locked in by the cutting.
CELL-9 for standard ceilings and general residential lighting, CELL-13 for higher ceilings and commercial spaces, in any of four beam angles, in Trio or DALI. Both Trio modules are Ø49.9 × 56 mm; DALI versions are 68 mm deep, so allow for that above the frame.
The CELL modules carry an IC-4 rating on their datasheets, which is an insulation-contact classification and is rare in this catalogue. The frame is part of the assembly though, so tell us which frame and module you are pairing and we will confirm the rating for the whole thing in writing if it matters on your job.
The frame body is 90 × 90 mm, so it needs that much clear between joists or battens — the Ø90 mm hole is not the only constraint, and on a retrofit the existing hole tells you nothing about what is beside it.
