The Domus CELL-D75 is a deep 75 mm cut-out frame for the CELL downlight module series, 90 × 90 × 70 mm, in black or white.
✅ Its cutout is stated plainly: Ø75 mm. The title says it and the record agrees.
⚠ That is worth pointing out, because the same field means something different on the complete CELL downlights. On the frames, the recorded diameter is the hole. On an assembled CELL downlight, it is the visible fascia — Ø85, Ø100 or Ø110 mm over a much smaller aperture.
So on a frame, order to the diameter. On a complete fitting, ask us. It is the same range, and the number means two different things.
Deep 75 mm cut-out frame for the Domus CELL downlight module series. 90 × 90 × 70 mm. Black or white. ✅ Cutout Ø75 mm.
⛔ The CELL module and its driver are sold separately — CELL-9 or CELL-13, in 15°, 24°, 36° or 60°, Trio or DALI. ⚠ Allow for the module above the frame: Trio modules are 56 mm deep and DALI modules 68 mm. Warranty 3 years. Tell us the room and we will list the frame, the module and the beam together.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Ø75 mm — stated in the title and in the record, so this one is unambiguous. That is worth knowing because the same diameter field means something different on the complete CELL downlights: there it holds the visible fascia, which is much larger than the aperture. On a frame, order to the diameter; on a complete fitting, ask us.
70 mm of depth against 50 mm for the CELL-S1 slotter frame. Depth sets the lamp back from the ceiling line, which reduces glare at a shallow viewing angle — walking down a hallway towards a run of them you see light rather than a row of bright points. It also shades the aperture, so the fitting reads as a dark recess when off. The trade-off is void depth: 70 mm for the frame plus the module and driver above it.
No — a frame is not a light. The CELL module and its driver are a separate purchase: CELL-9 or CELL-13, in any of four beam angles, in Trio or DALI. Tell us the room and we will list the frame, the module and the beam together so nothing turns up missing.
Three reasons. The beam angle — the module comes in 15°, 24°, 36° and 60°, where the assembled downlights are 60° only. Maintenance — the module clicks out without touching the ceiling, so a failure or a change of colour is a maintenance visit rather than a rebuild. And sequencing — the ceiling can go in now and the fitting later. Buy a complete downlight where you want one part number and a confirmed cutout.
CELL-9 (9 W) or CELL-13 (13 W), in any beam angle, in Trio or DALI. Both Trio modules are Ø49.9 × 56 mm; the DALI versions are 68 mm deep, so allow for that above the frame when you are checking the void.
The frame body is 90 × 90 mm, so it needs that much clear between joists or battens — the Ø75 mm hole is not the only constraint. Allow 70 mm of depth for the frame plus the module and driver above it.
Usually. Black recedes into the aperture and reduces the apparent glare of the module behind it, which is why black trims are common on anti-glare fittings; white disappears into a white ceiling. A contrast is a legitimate look, but only if it is deliberate.
