The Domus CELL-9-DALI is a 9 W plug-and-play LED lamp module and driver set with DALI dimming, five switchable colour temperatures, and a choice of four beam angles — 15°, 24°, 36° or 60°.

⚠ It is 12 mm deeper, and that is the retrofit constraint

• 68 mm against the Trio's 56 mm, in the same Ø49.9 mm diameter.
• ⚠ Domus's own wording is that the CELL range suits most MR16 frames “depending on height” — so an extra 12 mm is exactly the dimension that decides whether a retrofit works.
• ✅ Measure the depth available above the existing frame, or send us a photograph, and we will say whether it fits before it ships.
• ⚠ The 13 W DALI carries the same 12 mm penalty, so stepping down to 9 W will not solve a depth problem on its own.

⭐ Five colour temperatures — but set by dip switch, not by DALI

• 2700 K — ⭐ extra warm, rare in this catalogue. Bedrooms and hospitality.
• 3000 K — the domestic default.
• 4000 K — offices, kitchens, bathrooms.
• 5000 K / 5700 K — task and inspection.
• ⚠ The colour is a ladder decision, not a commissioning one. DALI controls the level; the colour is fixed on a dip switch before the ceiling closes. Set every module on a floor the same way, because changing one afterwards means dropping it back out.

⛔ The beam angle is a variant, not a setting

• Four part numbers — 15°, 24°, 36° and 60°.
• 15° tight accent, 24° defined pool, 36° general purpose, 60° wide wash.
• ✅ Because the module is replaceable, the beam is reversible — swap it without touching the ceiling or re-commissioning the address.

The frame and the cutout

• ⛔ The frame is sold separately, and the cutout comes from it, not the module.
• CELL-S1 / S2: Ø70–75 mm. CELL-D75 frame: Ø75 mm. CELL-D90 frame: Ø90 mm.
• ⛔ The datasheet's cutout line describes a rectangular SLOTCELL frame — a different product. Do not cut to it.
• ✅ Tell us the frame and we will confirm the cutout before anyone marks a ceiling.

The rest of the specification

• 9 W COB LED, CRI ≥80, 50,000 hours, 200–240 V 50–60 Hz.
• ⚠ IP44 “from the underside of the downlight once installed into the ceiling” — protection from the room side, not a sealed fitting in the void.
• ⚠ The datasheet held for this product is a superseded revision. Figures here are consistent with the current CELL-9 sheet, but ask us if any of them are load-bearing on your specification and we will get the current document from Domus.
• ⚠ No lumen output is recorded.

Where it works
