The Domus CELL-13 is a 13 W plug-and-play LED lamp module and driver set with five switchable colour temperatures and a choice of four beam angles — 15°, 24°, 36° or 60°.

⭐ Five colour temperatures, not three — and one of them is warmer than anything else in this range.

2700 K ⭐ Extra warm. Bedrooms, restaurants, anywhere aiming at incandescent warmth. Almost nothing else in this catalogue offers it

✅ The 2700 K step is the one worth noticing. Most switchable fittings jump from 3000 K straight to neutral white, so a room that wants genuine incandescent warmth has no option. This one has it, set by a dip switch before installation.

⛔ The beam angle is a variant, not a setting
  • 15°, 24°, 36° or 60° — and they are four different part numbers. You choose the beam when you order and it cannot be changed afterwards.
  • 15° — a tight accent. Artwork, a single object, a very high ceiling.
  • 24° — a defined pool. Joinery, a bench, a display shelf.
  • 36° — the general-purpose choice on a standard ceiling.
  • 60° — a wide wash. General room lighting, fewer fittings.
  • ⚠ Because the module is replaceable, the beam is not permanent — a module can be swapped later without touching the ceiling. ✅ That is the whole argument for the CELL system, and it is the reason to buy modules rather than sealed downlights.
What "plug and play module and driver set" actually means
  • It is a lamp and its driver, not a complete fitting. The module clicks into a frame, and the frame is what goes in the ceiling.
  • ✅ As a retrofit it replaces an MR16 halogen lamp and its transformer together — pull both out, put the CELL lamp and driver in. It suits most MR16 downlight frames, ⚠ depending on height, which is the constraint to check.
  • ✅ As a new installation it pairs with a CELL frame — the single CELL-S1 or the two-light CELL-S2, in black or white.
  • ✅ The module is the replaceable part. When it fails, or when the beam or colour needs to change, the frame and the ceiling stay untouched. On a commercial fit-out that is the difference between a maintenance job and a rebuild.
⛔ The cutout figure on its datasheet is not this product's

The sheet's cutout line reads “L190 mm x W100 mm SLOTCELL-2-13W” — a rectangular two-light slot frame, not this round module.

  • ⛔ Do not cut to that figure. The module itself is Ø49.9 mm and 56 mm deep.
  • The cutout comes from the frame you put it in, not from the module: a CELL-S1 or CELL-S2 takes Ø70–75 mm, or Ø85 mm for the K75 and P75.
  • ✅ Tell us the frame and we will confirm the cutout before anyone marks a ceiling.

  • 995–1,163 lm depending on the colour setting — 995 lm at 3000 K rising to 1,163 lm at 5000 K. ⚠ Those figures are recorded on this module's other listing in our catalogue, not on this one. ⚠ A superseded datasheet quotes higher numbers (1,200–1,350 lm); we have published the current record figures. ⚠ The output is for the module: a 15° version concentrates the same light into a much smaller area.
Module or complete downlight?

Questions
What does "5 colour temperatures" give me that three does not?

A 2700 K setting, mostly. Most switchable fittings in this catalogue run 3000, 4000 and 5000 or 5700 K — so a room that wants genuine incandescent warmth has no option. This one adds 2700 K at the warm end and 5700 K at the cool end, set by a dip switch before installation. In a bedroom or a restaurant the 2700 K step is a visible difference, not a marketing one.

Can I change the beam angle later?

Not on a given module — the four beam angles are four different part numbers, chosen at order. But you can swap the whole module later without touching the ceiling, which is the entire argument for the CELL system. That makes the beam a reversible decision even though it is not a switch.

Which beam angle should I choose?

36° is the general-purpose choice on a standard ceiling. 15° is a tight accent for artwork, a single object or a very high ceiling. 24° gives a defined pool over joinery, a bench or a display shelf. 60° is a wide wash for general room lighting with fewer fittings. Tell us the ceiling height and what you are lighting and we will suggest one.

What size hole does it need?

That comes from the frame, not the module — the module itself is only Ø49.9 mm. A CELL-S1 or CELL-S2 frame takes Ø70–75 mm, or Ø85 mm for the K75 and P75. Do not use the figure on the datasheet: its cutout line reads "L190 x W100 mm SLOTCELL-2", which is a rectangular two-light slot frame and not this product at all.

Will it replace my existing halogen downlights?

In most cases, yes — that is what it is designed for. You remove the MR16 halogen lamp and its transformer together and put the CELL lamp and driver in their place. It suits most MR16 downlight frames, with height being the constraint to check. Tell us what is up there now and we will confirm.

Should I buy the module or a complete downlight?

The module plus a frame where the beam or colour may need to change, where the ceiling goes in now and the fitting later, or where maintenance access matters — in a commercial fit-out that is the difference between changing a module and rebuilding a ceiling. How bright is it?

No lumen output is recorded in any source we hold, and on this product that gap matters more than usual: a 15° and a 60° version of the same 13 W behave very differently, and the beam angle is chosen at order. Ask us and we will get the figures from Domus for the beam you are considering.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
