Product Description
xThe Catania 18Lt is a 980 mm crystal pendant in antique gold — eighteen integrated LEDs drawing 54 W between them for 1,990 lm at 3000 K.
Wide and remarkably shallow
980 mm across but only 145 mm deep. Nearly a metre of pendant that drops less than the length of your hand. That is unusual and it is the reason the Catania works over a long dining table in a room with an ordinary ceiling — a chandelier of this width would normally need height the room does not have.
It is a jewel, not a room light
Worth being honest about: 1,990 lm from 54 W is not efficient, and it is not a lot of light for a fitting this size. That is what crystal does — it refracts and scatters rather than transmitting. You are buying the sparkle, the brass-and-crystal presence over a table. Plan other light in the room; do not expect this to carry it alone.
Eighteen separate points of light
The count is the effect. Eighteen small sources through crystal give many small bright points rather than one glowing mass — which is precisely what makes crystal read as crystal. One large LED behind the same glass would look like a lamp.
The LEDs are built in
Integrated SMD, included, and not replaceable as globes. That is the trade: no globes to buy, nothing to match, but the fitting is a sealed unit. Backed by a three-year replacement warranty, and CRI >80 so the gold and the crystal both read true.
Not dimmable
Stated plainly because on a dining pendant people assume otherwise: it runs at one level. If you want a dimmed dinner setting, it has to come from elsewhere in the room.
Where it works
- Long dining tables, under an ordinary ceiling.
- Entry halls, as the first thing seen.
- Formal living rooms, alongside other light.
- Rooms where a deep chandelier will not fit.

Questions
Will it light the room?
No — plan other light. 1,990 lm is modest for a fitting nearly a metre wide, because crystal refracts and scatters rather than transmitting. You are buying the sparkle over a table.
How far does it hang down?
Only 145 mm, on a 2,000 mm adjustable suspension. That shallowness is what lets a 980 mm fitting work under an ordinary ceiling.
Do I need globes?
No. Eighteen SMD LEDs are integrated and included at 3 W each — 54 W total. They are not replaceable as globes; the fitting carries a three-year replacement warranty instead.
Can I dim it?
No. It runs at one level, so a dimmed dinner setting has to come from elsewhere in the room.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
