xThe Captiva PE24 is a 1,370 mm twenty-four-light LED pendant in black — integrated 72 W giving 3,096 lm at 3000 K, TRIAC dimmable, at 490 mm high and 4.8 kg.
⚠ It is 1.37 metres across. Measure before you order. That is the widest fitting we have measured in this catalogue — wider than the metre-wide Malvern, wider than the 1.21-metre Darien, wider than the 1.5-metre Farnix in every practical sense because it is a solid circle rather than an armature.
A fitting this size needs:
- A long or large table — at 1.37 m it should not be wider than what it hangs over, and over a standard 1.6-metre table it will fill almost the whole span.
- Clear space around it. Check the distance to walls, a range hood, a cabinet run and any other fitting.
- Careful centring. At this diameter, being off-centre reads immediately from anywhere in the room.
Twenty-four small sources, and what that buys
The Captiva's idea is many small points rather than one large one, and it produces a specific effect:
- Light lands evenly across a wide table, because it comes from twenty-four places spread over 1.37 metres, not from a single point in the middle. On a long table that is genuinely better than one bright pendant.
- Shadows are soft. Many small sources fill in each other's shadows, so hands, plates and faces are lit from several directions at once.
- The fitting itself reads as a constellation rather than an object — which is why a 1.37-metre fitting can hang over a table without feeling oppressive.
3,096 lumens — and an honest word about efficiency
72 W for 3,096 lm is 43 lm/W, which is low: the Hovin disc pendant reaches 101, and the Truvon 77.
That is the design, not a fault, and it is worth understanding before you compare it with anything else. Twenty-four small glass elements, each with its own diffuser, absorb far more than a single large panel does — you are paying an efficiency cost for the way the light is distributed and for the appearance of the fitting.
Read the lumens, not the wattage, when comparing it: 3,096 lm is enough to light a dining room, and it arrives spread across a metre and a third rather than concentrated.
TRIAC dimming — and on this fitting it is the whole point
An ordinary wall dimmer, full range. On a twenty-four-source fitting, dimming does something that a single-source pendant cannot: as it comes down, the twenty-four points separate. At full it reads as a broad wash of light; low, it becomes twenty-four distinct warm points hanging over a dark table.
That is the effect people buy this fitting for, and it only exists on a dimmer. Fit one.
⚠ 4.8 kilograms on a 180 mm canopy, hanging on a 1,500 mm suspension. That is a proper structural fixing — past a ceiling rose or a plasterboard anchor — and on a fitting 1.37 metres wide, the mount also has to resist rotation and swing, not just weight. Tell your electrician both the weight and the diameter before the ceiling is opened.
Two colours, two separate pages
The Captiva PE24 comes in black and antique gold, and they are listed as two separate products rather than two options on one page — so you cannot see them side by side. They are identical in every specification: 1,370 mm, 72 W, 3,096 lm, 4.8 kg.
- Black — the frame reads as a dark armature against a light ceiling, so what you see is the twenty-four lit points and very little else. The more graphic and more contemporary choice.
- Antique gold — the frame is part of the composition, warm and visible, and it catches the light of its own globes. Formal, and it sits with brass hardware and timber.

Nothing to buy and nothing to change. The LEDs are integrated, included and sealed at 3000 K — no twenty-four globes to source, no matching problem, and no flicker risk from mixed brands, which on a twenty-four-globe fitting would be a real hazard. The trade is that the colour is fixed and the fitting is finished when the LEDs are.

How big is it, really?
1,370 mm across — the widest fitting we have measured in this catalogue, and its page never said so in a sentence anybody would read. It needs a long or large table, clear space to walls, a range hood and cabinetry, and careful centring: at this diameter, being off-centre reads immediately from anywhere in the room.
Why twenty-four small lights instead of one big one?

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.
