Cantena Outdoor Wall Light Small 1Lt

The Cantena wall light is the wall-mounted member of the Cantena family — a tapered solid brass frame holding trapezoid clear glass on a simple arm. It is the companion to the Cantena pendant, so a covered outdoor area can be lit with one design throughout.

Solid brass, and it will patina

The frame is solid brass, finished in polished antique brass or painted black. Outdoors the brass darkens over time rather than failing — there is no plating to wear through. Polish it if you want it bright; the black finish avoids the question altogether.

Clear glass means the globe matters

The trapezoid panels are clear, so the lamp is fully visible and becomes part of the fitting. A vintage filament globe is what the shape is drawn around; a plain frosted globe will light the space but leave the fitting looking unfinished.

A family, not a single fitting

There is a larger wall size and a matching pendant. On a verandah with both a wall and a ceiling to light, using the wall lights along the wall and the pendant over the table gives a coherent result that mixing brands never quite does.

• Alfresco kitchens and servery areas under cover.
• Courtyard walls with some shelter.
• Indoors too — a kitchen or hallway wanting the industrial-vintage look.

Specifying it

It is 150 mm wide and 290 mm high, with a shade tapering from 150 mm at the top to 210 mm at the bottom. One E27 globe up to 25 W, not supplied. Rated IP44 — splashing water from any direction, so covered outdoor use is fine and direct hosing is not. It runs on 240 V and is Class I — an earth is required. Warranty is three years.
