The Brixon EX30 is a 300 mm exterior wall light in aluminium and glass with a frost polycarbonate diffuser — integrated 16 W LED giving 640 lm at 3000 K, IP44 — in sand black.

The size that suits most walls

At 300 mm tall and 126 mm wide the Brixon 30 is substantial without being architectural. It reads properly beside a normal front door or along a covered walkway, where the 400 mm version would dominate and a small lantern would look lost. It projects 170 mm from a 114 mm backplate.

Glass with a frost diffuser behind it

Two layers doing different jobs: glass for the outer face, with a frost polycarbonate diffuser inside. The glass gives the fitting substance and weathers well; the frost layer spreads the LED evenly so the face glows uniformly rather than showing hot spots. Either alone would compromise one or the other.

The range scales honestly

30 cm at 16 W and 640 lm, 40 cm at 18 W and 720 lm — same efficiency, proportional output. Unlike some ranges in this catalogue, the bigger fitting genuinely gives more light.

Solid, at 2.4 kg

Aluminium and glass rather than plastic. It has weight in the hand, and aluminium does not rust, which outdoors matters more than any finish.

3000 K, warm and fixed

No colour selection and no dimming. Warm white flatters brick, render and timber at an entry, where a cool white makes them look cold.

The LED is integrated

Included and sealed, so nothing to buy and nothing to match across a pair either side of a door — and no globe to replace behind sealed glass. Three-year replacement warranty.
