The Brine PE40 is a 400 mm opal glass pendant — one E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied — in polished nickel, matt black or satin antique gold, on a 2,600 mm suspension.
It takes an E27, and our record did not say so. The globe type was missing from the record entirely. It is E27 to 25 W, not supplied.
400 mm wide by 501 mm high, against the small Brine’s 288 mm. That is the point at which a pendant holds a dining table on its own — the 288 is made to hang in a run of two or three. If you have one ceiling point and one table, this is the one.
Opal hides the globe completely, so there is no bright point and no glare from any angle. At 400 mm that means a large softly glowing form over the table rather than a lit shade with a hot spot in it — and because nothing shows through, the globe you fit affects only brightness and warmth, not the look. You can hang it low over a table without anyone across it squinting.
2.6 metres, where most pendants here give 2,000 mm. It shortens at install, so the extra length costs nothing if you do not need it — and it makes a 400 mm opal pendant a genuine option for a stairwell or a void, which is unusual for a fitting this shape. Canopy is 120 mm.
At this size the metal ring is a larger part of what you see, so the finish matters more here than on the 288.
It is Class I — earth required and hard-wired. A licensed electrician installs it. Dimming is globe dependent: a dimmable E27 with a wall dimmer will dim it; a plain globe will not. Our record says “No”, which is misleading — and on a fitting bought for its even glow, dimming is worth having.
400 mm wide by 501 mm high, canopy 120 mm by 25 mm, suspension 2,600 mm and adjustable, in iron and opal glass. One E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied; dimming is globe dependent. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.

An E27 to 25 W, not supplied. Worth stating because the globe type was missing from our record entirely.
The 400 mm is the single-pendant size — it holds a dining table on its own. The 288 mm is made to hang in a run of two or three over a bench or an island.
No. Opal hides it completely, so there is no bright point and no glare from any angle. You can hang it low over a table without anyone across it squinting, and the globe you fit affects only brightness and warmth, not the look.

At 400 mm the metal ring is a larger part of what you see, so it matters more than on the small one. Polished nickel mirrors the room; matt black is the strongest graphic choice; satin antique gold is the softest against the white shade.

Yes — Class I, earth required, hard-wired.
