The Bremen WB1 is a 340 mm single LED vanity light in antique gold, black, bronze or chrome — 6 W giving 415 lm, with switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K and IP44.
⚠ Two facts make this a bathroom light, and neither was anywhere on our page. The specification table listed the lamp type and the finishes, and nothing else.
A vanity light is the one fitting in a house you look at yourself under, so getting the colour right changes something you notice daily.
⚠ Choose before the electrician leaves. The setting is made at the fitting, at installation, and cannot be changed from a switch afterwards. ⚠ And if you are fitting a pair either side of a mirror, set them both the same — two different colour temperatures on one face is immediately obvious and unfixable without getting the electrician back.
At 340 mm tall the Bremen works either way, and the two are genuinely different results:
If you can run the wiring for two, do.
6 W at 69 lm/W. A single Bremen is a task light for a mirror, not a bathroom's main light. A pair gives 830 lm at the mirror, which is right for the job.
You will still want a ceiling light for the room — ask us about the IP44 oysters and downlights in this catalogue, and note that they should be set to the same colour temperature as these, or the room and the mirror will fight each other.
It does not dim, and the LED is integrated and included. At a mirror that is a smaller loss than it would be in a living room — a vanity light is an on-or-off, do-the-job fitting — but it is worth knowing before you plan a dimmer into the bathroom circuit.
0.85 kg, so it fixes into a tiled or plasterboard wall without special provision. Class I — earth required, hard-wired, in aluminium and acrylic.
Antique gold, black, bronze and chrome — and the copy's advice is sound: match the tapware. A bathroom reads as coordinated when the light, the tap and the handles agree, and mismatched metals at a mirror are noticeable in a way they are not elsewhere in a house.
⚠ What we cannot tell you. Our record for this product carries only the lamp type, the application and the warranty — and the datasheet records no width, no depth and no cable detail. So we have its height and its weight, and not how wide it is or how far it projects from the wall.
Beside a mirror, the projection decides whether it fouls a mirror edge or a cabinet door. Ask us before you set out a position and we will get the figures from Telbix.
340 mm high, 0.85 kg; ⚠ width and projection are not recorded — ask us. In aluminium and acrylic, antique gold, black, bronze or chrome. Integrated 6 W LED giving 415 lm, included, with 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K set at installation, not dimmable. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP44 — bathrooms outside the shower zone, ensuites and laundries. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Yes — it is IP44, protected against splashing water from any direction, which allows it beside a bathroom mirror, in an ensuite or in a laundry, outside the shower zone. Our page never mentioned the rating at all, which on a vanity light is the fact that matters most.
4000 K for most bathrooms — close enough to daylight that makeup applied under it still reads correctly outdoors, and skin looks natural rather than yellowed or drained. 3000 K is flattering and restful if the bathroom is a space you linger in, but it shifts makeup colours warm. 5000 K is the most clinical: excellent for shaving and detail work, unflattering otherwise. The setting is made at the fitting during installation and cannot be changed afterwards.
Two, if you can run the wiring. A pair either side of the mirror at about eye height fills in shadows under the eyes, nose and chin — it is how theatre mirrors are lit, and it is the most flattering and useful light for a face. A single fitting above the mirror is simpler and lights the bench well, but light from above alone casts shadows downward across the face, which is exactly what you do not want for shaving or makeup.
One is a task light for a mirror, not a bathroom’s main light — 415 lumens. A pair gives 830 at the mirror, which is right for the job. You will still want a ceiling light for the room, and it should be set to the same colour temperature or the two will fight each other.
No — the LED is integrated and included. At a mirror that is a smaller loss than in a living room, since a vanity light is an on-or-off fitting, but it is worth knowing before you plan a dimmer into the bathroom circuit.
Match the tapware. A bathroom reads as coordinated when the light, the tap and the handles agree, and mismatched metals at a mirror are noticeable in a way they are not elsewhere. Chrome is the safe match for most standard tapware; black for matt black; antique gold and bronze for brushed brass or aged fittings, and they suit a warmer 3000 K setting.
Neither is recorded — our record carries only the lamp type, application and warranty, and the datasheet has no width or depth. Beside a mirror the projection decides whether it fouls a mirror edge or a cabinet door, so ask us before you set out a position.
