The Domus BOLT is a dual-wattage LED batten in 600 mm or 1200 mm, IP44, with switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5700 K — a direct replacement for a T8 or T5 fluorescent batten.
✅ The dual-wattage switch is the feature worth understanding. A switch on the LED driver halves the output, and it is set at installation.
| Length | Wattage options | Output at 4000 K |
|---|---|---|
| 600 mm | 10 W or 21 W | ⚠ not published — ask us |
| 1200 mm | 21 W or 42 W | 1,850 lm or 3,800 lm |
⚠ Our record shows only 21 W and 42 W — the 1200 mm figures. The 600 mm model's 10 W and 21 W are not recorded, and neither are its lumen outputs. If you are specifying the 600 mm, ask us and we will get the figures from Domus.
✅ Why the switch matters: a garage, a laundry or a store room lit for the worst case is usually too bright for daily use. Fit the batten, look at the room, and halve it if it is uncomfortable — without changing the fitting or the circuit.
The datasheet states: “IP44 rating is from the underside of the batten once installed into the ceiling.” Our record shows a bare IP44.
Dual-wattage LED batten, pressed sheet metal with an opal polycarbonate diffuser, white. 1200 mm: 21 W or 42 W, giving 1,850 lm or 3,800 lm at 4000 K (1,665 / 3,420 lm at 3000 K; 1,850 / 3,800 lm at 5700 K). 600 mm: 10 W or 21 W — ⚠ outputs not published; our record carries only the 1200 mm wattages. Ask us. Wattage selected by a switch on the driver at installation. Switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5700 K, 120° spread, CRI ≥80, SMD, 40,000 hrs. ⛔ Not dimmable. 240 V AC. IP44 — from the underside once installed; not sealed from above. Surface mounted or suspended. 1200 × 65 × 80 mm. Warranty 3 years.

A switch on the LED driver halves the output, and it is set at installation. The 1200 mm runs at 21 or 42 W; the 600 mm at 10 or 21 W. It is genuinely useful: a garage or store room lit for the worst case is usually too bright for daily use, so you can fit the batten, look at the room, and halve it — without changing the fitting or the circuit.
Not published, and our record does not even carry its wattages — it shows only the 1200 mm's 21 and 42 W. The 600 mm runs at 10 or 21 W per the product title, and its lumen outputs are not recorded anywhere we can see. Ask us and we will get them from Domus rather than scale the 1200 mm figures.
Yes — it is a direct replacement for T8 and T5, with a "quick fix" mounting designed for that swap. At 21 W the 1200 mm gives 1,850 lumens, which compares well with an aged 36 W T8 tube; at 42 W it gives 3,800, which comfortably exceeds a twin-tube fitting. And there is no starter, no ballast, no flicker at end of life and no depreciation the way a tube has.
No. The dual-wattage switch is set once at installation and is not a control — it does not vary the light in use and it is not operated from a wall plate. Do not buy a dimmer for it. If you need a variable level, the answer is a different fitting or a second circuit.
Yes, and those are exactly the rooms it is for. The datasheet's wording on the rating is worth quoting though: "IP44 rating is from the underside of the batten once installed into the ceiling". So it is protected from the room side against splashing water — a laundry, a garage, a covered carport, a bathroom outside the shower zone — but the top is not sealed, and the rating does not apply before it is installed.
4000 K for laundries, garages, store rooms and workshops — the default, and the brightest at both wattages. 5700 K for inspection and detailed work. 3000 K is rarely right on a batten but useful in a converted space or a covered outdoor area. Set it before the batten goes up, and set every fitting in a space the same way.
1200 × 65 × 80 mm per the datasheet for the long version. Our record shows 80 mm for both width and height, so the two sources differ on one dimension. If the space is tight — against a beam, in a shallow recess — ask us and we will measure one before it ships.
