The Domus BLISS-10 is a 10 W flat-face LED downlight in black or white — 800 lumens, IP54, a 120° beam, switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5700 K, only 33.5 mm deep, and a five-year warranty.
✅ A 120° beam — the widest downlight in this range, and that changes how many you need.
| Fitting | Beam | Spacing from a 2.4 m ceiling |
|---|---|---|
| BLISS-10 | 120° | about 2.5 m |
| DECO / TEK / BOOST | 90° | about 2 m |
| SWAP / AQUA | 60° | about 1.5 m |
| DEEP-13 | 36° | 1.2–1.5 m |
✅ Fewer fittings for the same coverage — which on a whole-house job is a real saving in both product and installation. ⚠ The trade is that a 120° beam throws light everywhere, including at you: it is a general wash, not an accent, and it is the least directional fitting here.
Our record says 5000 K; the datasheet says 5700 K, which is colder and bluer. It is set on a dip switch at the back, before installation, and cannot be changed afterwards.
Most general-purpose downlights are IP20 — indoor and dry only. IP54 adds dust protection and splash resistance from any direction:
The body is polyamide — an engineering nylon — where most downlights here are aluminium. That is a deliberate cost decision in a range the manufacturer describes as “incorporating cost saving materials”.
✅ Five-year warranty — longer than the three years most of this catalogue carries, and correctly recorded here, which is not true of every value range in this catalogue.
Cutout Ø90 mm, face Ø110 mm, height 33.5 mm, flat face with an opal diffuser, polyamide body, black or white. 10 W SMD LED giving 750 / 780 / 800 lm at 3000 K / 4000 K / 5700 K, dip switch, set before installation; CRI ≥83, 120° beam, 40,000 hrs. Fully dimmable with a suitable dimmer; driver and flex-and-plug supplied. 220–240 V AC, IP54 — dust protected and splash resistant. ✅ Warranty 5 years.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
About 2.5 metres from a 2.4 m ceiling — further than anything else here. The 120° beam is the widest in the range, so you need fewer fittings for the same coverage, which on a whole-house job is a real saving in both product and installation. The trade is that it throws light everywhere including at you: it is a general wash, not an accent.
No — 5700 K, which is colder and bluer. Our record says 5000 and the datasheet says 5700, so we have published 5700. It is set on a dip switch at the back before installation and cannot be changed afterwards, so decide first.
Most general-purpose downlights are IP20 — indoor and dry only. IP54 adds dust protection and splash resistance. Dust is the practical one: it cannot accumulate inside the lens, which is what actually dims a downlight over ten years. It also makes it usable in a bathroom outside the shower zone, a laundry or a covered outdoor ceiling, subject to your electrician.
It is a trade, and worth understanding. Polyamide cannot corrode, which is a genuine advantage in a bathroom or a coastal-adjacent house. But polymer conducts heat less well than aluminium, and heat is what shortens LED life — which is why Domus specify a thermal management system in this range, and why the life is 40,000 hours against 50,000 for the aluminium ranges.
More so than most flat-faced fittings. The flat face nearly disappears when switched off, and the opal diffuser spreads the source so there is no single bright point — that combination is easier on the eye than a flat fitting with a clear lens.
Yes — 33.5 mm, among the shallowest here, second only to the TEK at 31 mm.
Five years — longer than the three most of this catalogue carries, and correctly recorded on this product, which is not true of every value range here.
