Black Diffuser ONLY To Suit

This is the diffuser cover only, to suit the HV9695-2507 aluminium profile. It is the translucent face that clips into the channel in front of the LED strip.

⚠ It is a cover on its own. There is no channel, no LED strip and no driver in it - you need the profile itself, and the strip to go in it, for this to be part of a working light.

What a diffuser is for

LED strip is a line of separate points of light. Left uncovered, that is exactly what you see: a row of bright dots, each one reflecting in whatever surface sits below it, and a visible scallop of light and shade between them.

A diffuser scatters that light before it leaves the channel, so the run reads as one continuous line. It is the single component that most changes how finished strip lighting looks, and it is why the same strip can appear either like a piece of hardware or like a designed detail.

It also hides the strip itself. Without a cover the tape, the solder joints and the cable are all on view whenever the light is off.

The black option

A black diffuser reads as a dark line when the lighting is off, rather than as a white strip against a dark ceiling or joinery. Switched on it still passes light, but it holds back more of it than a standard diffuser does, so it trades some output for a far more discreet appearance when off.

It is the choice where the fitting should disappear into a dark surface, and the wrong choice where maximum brightness is the priority.

Fitting it

A diffuser clips into the channel and can be taken back off, so the strip underneath stays accessible. Fit it after the strip is in and has been tested - checking a run works before the cover goes on takes moments, and checking it afterwards means undoing the job.

⚠ Confirm the profile part number before ordering. Diffusers are cut to a particular channel profile and are not interchangeable between them.
