The Domus BF-2601A is a 150 mm raw ceramic wall uplight with a 125 mm projection, taking one G9 lamp and supplied unpainted.

⛔ One dimension is missing, and it is the one you need

Our record holds the width (150 mm) and the projection (125 mm). It holds no height.

  • ⛔ We are not going to invent it. On a wall light the height decides whether it clears a picture rail, a door head or a cornice, and a guess is worse than a gap.
  • ✅ What we can tell you is the projection, and it is substantial. At 125 mm this stands well off the wall — more than most of the range — so in a corridor where people pass close, check it against the traffic before you commit.
  • ⭐ Ask us and we will measure one. We would rather give you the figure off a physical fitting than off a field that does not hold it.
⭐ The wattage — settled across the range
  • 60 W is the lamp’s maximum, not the fitting’s, and here the record and the datasheet agree on it. Across all 17 G9 fittings in the BF range the sheet says 60 W whether the fitting takes one lamp or two, so it cannot be a total; the BF-2185 (one G9, 40 W) shows it tracks the lamp; and the BF-2020 states “2x60W” in its own title.
  • ✅ One lamp here, so 60 W is the figure either way. A 4 W LED G9 is what we would fit.
What raw ceramic means

  • ⚠ Not a 60 W halogen. Rated for it, but that is real heat in a closed ceramic body.
Where it works
  • A living room or hallway wall with room for a fitting that stands 125 mm proud.
  • A stairwell, where the deep projection throws the light clear of the wall and further across the ceiling.
  • ⚠ Check the projection in a corridor. 125 mm is enough to catch a shoulder in a tight passage.
  • ⚠ Not on a poorly finished wall — grazing light finds every ripple above it.

Questions
How tall is it?

Our record does not hold a height, and we would rather tell you that than publish a guess — on a wall light the height is what decides whether it clears a picture rail, a door head or a cornice. What we do have is the width, 150mm, and the projection, 125mm. Ask us and we will measure a physical fitting for you.

How far does it stand off the wall?

125mm, which is a substantial projection — more than most of this ceramic range. In a living room or stairwell that is fine and it throws light further across the ceiling. In a narrow corridor it is enough to catch a shoulder, so check it against the traffic before committing.

Is 60 watts per lamp or for the fitting?

Per lamp. It takes one G9, so the two readings coincide here, but the two-lamp models in this range are rated 60W each rather than 60W between them. We settled it across all 30 BF listings: the sheets say 60W whether a fitting takes one lamp or two, the one-lamp BF-2185 says 40W, and the BF-2020 states "2x60W" in its own title.

How does it compare with the BF-2601B?

The B is a different size — 120 × 120mm with a 150mm height — and its datasheet records two G9 lamps against this one's one. That is the only A/B pair in this range whose lamp counts differ, and the B's own datasheet contradicts itself on the point, so treat the lamp count on that listing as unconfirmed and ask us before ordering it.

Do I have to paint it?

No — the raw ceramic is a deliberate look. But it is porous until painted or sealed, so it marks more easily than a finished surface. If it sits where hands reach, finish it.

Can it go in a bathroom?

No. Raw ceramic is porous until painted and the fitting is rated for indoor dry use only. For a bathroom, ask us for something with an IP rating suited to the zone.

Why is the warranty only one year?

That is the term Domus gives its imported ceramic range, not an error on this listing — most of this catalogue is three years. A ceramic shell with a replaceable lamp has little in it to fail; chipping is the real risk.

Warranties

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.

Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.

Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.

Damaged or Missing Items

Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.

If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.

Returns

Change of Mind Returns

  • Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
  • The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights

We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.

Cancellations

Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.

  • Restocking fee: 20% will apply unless otherwise stated, or unless another order of equal or greater value is placed in lieu of this re-stocking fee.
