Product Description
xThe Bernay EX is a 300 mm exterior LED wall light in black or corten — 10 W giving 950 lm at 3000 K, CRI above 90, IP65.
Corten, which is genuinely unusual on a light fitting
Corten is weathering steel — it forms a stable rust-coloured surface that then protects the metal beneath rather than eating it. On a facade it reads as orange-brown and deepens over time, and it belongs with timber, rammed earth, dark render and planting. Very few lighting ranges offer it, and it is the reason to choose the Bernay over a plain black bulkhead. If you want a fitting that looks the same in five years, choose black.
950 lumens, which is a real exterior light
10 W giving 950 lm is 95 lm/W — efficient — and at that output it does more than mark a wall. Beside a door it lights the doorway, the step and the person standing there, which the 125 lm accent lights in this range do not.
CRI above 90 on an exterior fitting is unusual. Most sit at 80. Above 90 means brick, render, timber and corten itself hold their real colour — and on a wall wash, low CRI is exactly what makes a facade look grey and cheap at night.
A 300 by 160 mm face, projecting 145 mm
Substantial rather than slim — it stands 145 mm off the wall, so it throws light out as well as up and down. Aluminium body with a polycarbonate diffuser, which is the right pairing outdoors: aluminium sheds heat, polycarbonate does not yellow or crack the way cheaper acrylic does.
IP65 — genuinely exposed-rated
Dust-tight and rated against water jets. Unlike the IP44 fittings in this range, the Bernay can go on an unsheltered wall that takes driven rain and can be hosed down. It is Class I — earth required and hard-wired, and not dimmable.

Questions
What is corten?

Will the corten keep changing?
It deepens for a while and then stabilises — that is the point of weathering steel. If you want a fitting that looks the same in five years, choose black.
Can it go on an exposed wall?
Yes. IP65 is dust-tight and rated against water jets, so unlike the IP44 fittings in this range it takes driven rain and can be hosed down.
How bright is it?
950 lm from 10 W. Beside a door that lights the doorway, the step and the person standing there — not just a marker on the wall.
Why does CRI matter outdoors?
Because brick, render, timber and the corten itself are what the light lands on. Above 90 they hold their real colour; low CRI is what makes a facade look grey and cheap at night.
Is it dimmable?
No. Fixed output at 3000 K warm white.
Do I need an electrician?
Yes — Class I, earth required, hard-wired.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
