Belmin Exterior Sensor Wall Light

The Belmin EXS is the sensor version of the Belmin exterior wall light — 285 mm tall, aluminium and glass, one E27 globe, IP44 — in black or white.

A sensor on a globe-fed fitting, which is unusual

Most sensor exteriors have a sealed LED: when it fails, the whole fitting comes off the wall. The Belmin EXS takes a replaceable E27 globe, so you keep the sensor and the body and simply re-globe it — and you choose the brightness and colour temperature yourself. That combination is genuinely rare.

40 mm taller than the plain Belmin

The sensor sits in the body, so the EXS is 285 mm against the standard Belmin’s 245 mm, projecting 140 mm. Both are 110 mm wide, so the two mix along one facade — sensor at the back door, plain at the front, and they still read as a family.

Deliberately plain

No ornament — a simple silhouette for a contemporary facade where the architecture is the feature. On a security fitting that restraint is worth something: it does not announce itself as a security light.

Aluminium and glass, not plastic

More presence and weight than the polycarbonate exteriors here — 1.35 kg — and aluminium does not rust, which outdoors matters more than any finish.

One E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied

Dimming is globe dependent — our record says it does not dim, and the datasheet says the globe decides. On a sensor fitting, though, a plain warm globe is usually the right answer.

110 mm wide, 285 mm high, 140 mm projection, 1.35 kg, in aluminium and glass. One E27 globe to 25 W, not supplied; dimming is globe dependent. Motion sensor fitted. 240 V, Class I — earth required, IP44 — covered outdoor positions. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
