Product Description
xThe Basilo is a 500 mm table lamp — a glass sphere capped and half-enclosed in metal — in antique gold or black, in a simple industrial idiom.
There is no dimmer and no built-in LED. An earlier version of this page described both. The Basilo takes a replaceable E27 globe, not supplied, and has an inline on/off switch. Any dimming has to come from a dimmable globe and a compatible dimmer.
The metal cap is doing a job
The sphere is half-enclosed rather than fully exposed — the metal cap deliberately blocks the upward spill of light. So instead of a glowing ball throwing light at the ceiling, you get a downward pool with a softly lit sphere beneath the cap. That single decision is what makes it read as industrial rather than decorative.
No-frills, deliberately
Straight lines, no ornament, two materials. It is designed to sit alongside furnishings rather than compete with them, which is why it works in rooms that already have something going on.
Antique gold or black
Antique gold warms the glass; black is the graphic version and disappears against a dark surface.
An inline switch on the cord
About 300 mm from the lamp on a 1,800 mm cable — findable without reaching around the base.
E27 to 25 W, not supplied
You choose the colour temperature. Because the sphere is glass and half-shrouded, a clear filament globe is visible through the lower half and worth the extra here.

Questions
Does it have a dimmer?
No. An earlier version of this page said it did. Any dimming has to come from a dimmable globe on a compatible dimmer.
Is the LED built in?
No. It takes a replaceable E27 globe, not supplied — despite an earlier claim about a built-in LED rated to 30,000 hours.
Why is the sphere half-enclosed?
The metal cap blocks the upward spill, so you get a downward pool with a softly lit sphere beneath rather than a glowing ball lighting the ceiling.
Which globe should I fit?
A clear filament globe — it is visible through the lower half of the sphere, so it is worth the extra here.
Where is the switch?
Inline on the cord, about 300 mm from the lamp.
What finishes are there?
Antique gold, which warms the glass, or black, which is the graphic option.
What is the warranty?
Three years.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
