Product Description
xBarline 300mm low-voltage wall light in black or white
A 300mm linear wall fitting running on 24V, drawing 4.5W, available in black and white. The Barline's defining feature is its 180° distribution: light leaves the body sideways along the wall instead of projecting outward, so the fitting lights the surface it is attached to.
That is a different job from a downlight or a spot. A downlight lights the floor; a Barline lights the wall, and a lit wall is what makes a small space feel larger and a dark corridor feel finished. If you are choosing between the two for an entry or a stairwell, the question is whether you want to see the floor or see the room.
Low voltage, and what that means for the job
This fitting runs on 24V DC only. It cannot be connected to 240V mains, and it needs a 24V DC driver on the circuit that is not supplied with it. Confirm that before ordering — this is the single detail that most often stalls a low-voltage fitting on site.
In exchange, the fitting is Class 3 and needs no earth, and one driver can serve several fittings. For anyone planning a sequence of these along a wall, that is the arrangement that makes it practical.
Colour temperature
The Barline is tri-colour — 3000K, 4000K or 5500K — with the setting made on the fitting during installation rather than fixed at the factory. Colour rendering is above 80 CRI.
If several fittings are going up together, set them all at the same time and to the same value. Because the selection is per fitting, a single unit left on the wrong setting is the most common fault on a sequence, and it is far easier to catch before the fittings are on the wall than after.
Construction and installation
The body is aluminium with a Perspex diffuser, rated IP65 against dust and jetted water and IK08 for impact. It works indoors and outdoors alike, including bathrooms and covered exterior walls.
Mark the fitting's 300mm footprint on the wall before the cable outlet is set, so the body covers the outlet rather than sitting beside it. The LED is integral, so there is no globe to buy and nothing to replace over the fitting's life; rated lamp expectancy is >30,000 hrs. Havit states that aluminium and 304 stainless fittings must not be installed within 5km of a salt water environment. Installation is work for a licensed electrician, and the fitting is not dimmable.

Does it plug into mains?
No. It is 24V DC and requires a 24V driver, which is not included.

For all warranty claims please ensure you have your proof of purchase at hand, an invoice from your electrician from the installation and check the faulty product is within the applicable warranty period. Warranty is replacement only.
Lights For You is not responsible for damages caused by unprofessional installation, modified products or manipulated by the customer or by any other person not authorised by the manufacturer; as well as by improper use, manipulation and/or short circuits, apparent signs of improper treatment.
Faulty items: lodge warranty directly with the brand (manufacturer). Keep proof of purchase.
Damaged or Missing Items
Notification of any damages or missing items must be received by Lights For You within seven (7) days of receipt of the product. Please email photos to ashfield@lightsforyou.com.au.
If the product is to be repaired or replaced, it must correspond to the one originally sent by Lights For You and the customer must include the delivery note and/or invoice.
Returns
Change of Mind Returns
- Customers who wish to return a product due to a change of mind or cancelled order may do so within thirty (30) days of receipt.
- The customer is responsible for the shipping costs for a change of mind return, irrespective of any free, discounted or any other type of shipping promotion that may have been applicable at the time of your order. This includes any costs you incur for us shipping the product to you in the first place and the cost of shipping the product back to us.

Our Rights
We reserve the right to refuse a return in cases where we cannot be reasonably satisfied that you purchased the product from us or where we are not responsible for the damage in accordance with our Faults & damages policy.
Cancellations
Customers who wish to cancel all or part of an order due to change of mind or incorrectly ordered may do subject to cancelling in within 12 hours, during business hours from time of purchase. Once products have been shipped, you cannot cancel them.
