A suggestion, not a specification. A calculator can get it wrong — have a licensed electrician confirm the driver, the total load and the wiring before you order.
The longest Barline: 1500mm of continuous line at 23W, in black or white, running on 24V. At a metre and a half the fitting is doing architecture rather than lighting. It is specified along corridors, up stair walls, across feature walls and above long joinery runs, where the point is the line itself as much as the light coming off it.
The 180° beam lays light across the mounting surface for the fitting's full length, which on textured brick, board-formed concrete or timber cladding reads as a graze that reveals the material. On flat painted plaster it reads as a soft band — still effective, but the fitting earns its keep most on a surface with something to catch.
Both part numbers run on 24V DC. They do not connect to 240V mains and require a 24V DC driver that is not supplied. At 23W each, this is the length where driver capacity and cable runs stop being an afterthought — two fittings together are a meaningful load, and voltage drop over a long low-voltage cable shows up as uneven output between the first and last fitting on a run.
The fitting is Class 3, so no earth is required at the fitting. Where several of these are being run in sequence, have the electrician plan driver position and cable sizing before the walls are closed up.
The 1500mm Barline draws 23W and is tri-colour, so the colour temperature is set on the fitting at installation rather than fixed at manufacture: 3000K, 4000K or 5500K. Colour rendering is above 80 CRI, and the fitting is not dimmable.
On a run of several fittings, set every one to the same colour temperature. Mixed settings along a corridor are obvious and are the most common avoidable fault with tri-colour fittings installed in sequence — the setting is made on each fitting individually, so it is easy for one to be missed.
Set out all 1500mm before the cable outlet is positioned, and take care to mount it level — at this length a slight tilt is read against every horizontal line in the room. The body has to cover its own outlet, and a linear fitting cannot be rotated to hide one that lands past its end.
It is rated IP65 for dust and jetted water and IK08 for impact. Havit applies a siting condition: aluminium, 304 stainless and powder coated brass or 316 stainless fittings must not be installed within 5km of a salt water environment, including pools. The LED is built in, with rated lamp expectancy of >30,000 hrs. Installation is work for a licensed electrician.
