This is an 8 W B22 A60 LED globe giving 750 lm, with switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K and CRI above 90.
It is an 8-watt globe, not 9. Our product title says 9 W, and it is the only source that does — the datasheet, our record and the specification table all say 8 W. We are correcting the title. If you compared it against another globe on wattage, compare again at 8.
You do not need an electrician. It is a light globe. Our page said “this fitting must be installed by a licensed electrician”. You push it in and twist.
This is the most useful thing about the globe, and it sat in the specification table and nowhere else — not in the description, and not in the fields our site filters on. Most LED globes sit at CRI 80, which is why LED light has a reputation for making rooms look flat. Above 90 means skin, timber, food, fabric and paint hold their real colour — and because a globe goes in every fitting, this is the cheapest place in a house to fix the quality of the light. If you have replaced globes and disliked the result, this is the specification that was missing.
3000 K warm, 4000 K natural, 5000 K cool, switchable — so one globe covers three rooms, and you can change your mind after it is in. Useful when you are buying for a whole house and do not yet know which rooms want which.
This is the bayonet base: push and twist, not screw. It is what older Australian fittings and most batten holders use. The identical globe exists with an E27 screw base — same 8 W, same 750 lm, same three colours, same CRI. Check which your fitting takes before ordering: they are not interchangeable.
94 lm/W, and roughly the output of a 60 W incandescent. The A60 is the standard globe shape — 60 mm wide by 112 mm high — so it fits almost every open and shaded fitting made.
It is NOT dimmable. Fitting a non-dimmable globe to a dimmed circuit causes flicker and buzz and can shorten its life. Check the fitting is on a plain switch before you buy.
A60 shape, 60 mm wide by 112 mm high, B22 bayonet base, opal polycarbonate. 8 W giving 750 lm, with switchable 3000 K / 4000 K / 5000 K, CRI >90, NOT dimmable. 240 V, IP20 — indoor and dry locations only. No installation required — it is a globe. Warranty is three years, as a replacement warranty.
Supplied and supported by Lights For You.
Eight. Our product title says 9 W and it is the only source that does — the datasheet, our record and the specification table all say 8 W. We are correcting the title.
No. It is a light globe — you push it in and twist. Our page said an electrician was required, which is wrong.
True colour — skin, timber, food, fabric and paint hold their real appearance. Most LED globes sit at 80, which is why LED light has a reputation for making rooms look flat. Because a globe goes in every fitting, this is the cheapest place in a house to fix the quality of the light. The figure was in our specification table, but nothing ever said it.
Yes — 3000 K warm, 4000 K natural or 5000 K cool, switchable. One globe covers three rooms, and you can change your mind after it is in.
Only if it takes a B22 bayonet — push and twist, not screw. The identical globe exists with an E27 screw base: same 8 W, 750 lm, three colours and CRI. Check which your fitting takes; they are not interchangeable.
Roughly a 60-watt incandescent, in the standard A60 shape that fits almost every open and shaded fitting made.
No — it is not dimmable, and fitting a non-dimmable globe to a dimmed circuit causes flicker and buzz and can shorten its life.
